"BRANDED 3:10 Sat May 29 Why don't you just turn up the centre speaker in your AV amp? 60% of the film comes from there anyway. It's a bit like people who struggle to hear dialogue in a film at the cinema. I just tell them to sit nearer the front as the important stuff comes from directly behind the middle of the screen. Fuck the 'what the director intended' bollocks and trying to sit in the middle of the cinema, I want to hear what's been said."

Yeah my Yamaha has an option where you can increase the dialogue setting. Not that it makes any difference if some mong is still mumbling.

"BRANDED 3:10 Sat May 29 I just want a button that turns up the centre speaker or down all the others. Funnily enough, I've got a Denon amp which powers the surround sound speakers. Coincidentally, while I was looking to adjust something else, I came across a function that does exactly that — concentrates speech etc., into the centre speaker. Great for watching TV, but it's shit when listening to music. There you go, 600 sheets denon avr-x2700h"

Mr anon. Its one of the best. But then again I love all the cornetto trilogy (and spaced) Braindead (early Peter Jackson) The dawn of dead remake And not technically zombies... buy the evil dead trilogy are all superb. Ironically when pegg and Wright wrote shaun of the dead they thought it would be funny as it had been so long since zombie films were popular. Then loads got released that year.

"Just watched spiral. The new saw spinoff. Entertaining enough but the older saw movies had a decent plot and real twists. I called the big ""twist"" in this one within the first 15% of thw film."

Enjoyed Wrath of Man. Big fan of Holt McCallany and Jeffrey Donovan. In some ways not a typical Ritchie film.

"I agree, the way some of the sound is mixed on a lot of these films/series is terrible. you often turn the volume up because the dialogue volume is so low, then the cunts will insert music that's at a 1000 decibels and you the have to turn it back down"

Peninsula is nothing like Train to Busan. Its like a zombie Apocalypse Now ish but with huge amounts of CGI. Looks like a video game.

"Will get around to it. Yes, but regardless of the silly subs for noises I'll be honest that when I watch anything that has an option for subs, ie Netflix, i use them, otherwise I miss bits and not being able to catch everything, and find the whole MOVIE EXPERIENCE a lot more enjoyable when I don't miss a word."

"It’s still worth a watch in my opinion, Manny. Even with the audio description. It does ruin the atmos somewhat having the patently obvious pointed out. Even if I was deaf, I think I would find that annoying."

"Duke - I loved Baggio and was planning on watching that but it put me off that it was acted out by someone trying to look like him, and not a doc as you say. if the words like 'inspiring music playing”, “exhales” and “crowd chants” annoyed you then I wonder how you get through each day.."

"I gave The Divine Ponytail a watch. The story of Roberto Baggio. I was expecting a documentary but it was acted out. It actually was quite good. The only downside was the subtitles were explaining everything, eg “inspiring music playing”, “exhales” and “crowd chants”, which was annoying."
