"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"They don't have to pass it long- Jones can break off a huge gain on YAC, just off a short pass. If they try and take him out of the game as they are known for trying to do, Sanu and the running backs could have a field day. It won't be like the steelers where they had no other weapons aside from Brown after Bell got injured Really don't think the Falcons will be bothered about time of possession. They should be able to move it pretty easily without having to take risks. This game could realistically be a blowout either way, or a really close one. It has the potential to be a classic. We will have to wait and see...."

"The pats wont give up long plays though. They will bend and not break. Atlanta are not so good in the RedZone & i think the stats back that up. Atlanta's defence is #27 in scoring whilst the pats 3rd ranked Defence is #1. They are going to pummel those Falcon receivers. Brady will march up and down and take his time and although not the deciding factor, it will play a part."

"If you have a quick strike offense, it doesn't matter who controls the clock. The pats can have the ball as long as they want as long provided the falcons can manage to hold them to punts and field goals and can get up and down the field quickly."

"The Falcons defence has to do a job. If Brady can control the clock, the quick striking Falcons wont get the chance to put the points up. Can see the Pats pounding it with Blount and controlling the game with short passes. Hope it's close though and goes to the wire."

That cannot be denied- they have built a really good team. Looking forward to this one much more than a few others in recent memory.

"Well as much as I don't like the Pat's, I have a big plumbing bill steadily approaching and so I want them to win as I backed them at the start of the season. Obviously not to that extent and I can't even remember if it was a tenner or a score, though I won't be going back 2000 posts on here to find out! Have also done a few £5 TD bets. £5 Blount @8's (both halves) £5 Bennett @16's £5 Sanu @16's Think Sanu is a fantastic price and wouldn't bother with Bennett, though after doing him the last 3 games I can't stop now just in case."

Ryan is well overrated IMO. He's always had a superb set of offensive weapons. I'd like to see how well he'd do out of a dome and without some of his team mates. Still- he makes plays and I expect Falcons fans have no grumbles. Hope they win on Sunday.

"so a mate who is a much bigger falcons fan than myself was in vegas last july/august and initially put 100 quid on the falcons to win the superbowl at 60-1. The guy taking bets said something to the effect of ""oh, you like those odds do you?"", so he told to him to make it 150. He's off to houston for the game on a package around 3000. Here's my question, do you hedge that and put 3000 on the pats to at least cover the game, or do you let it ride? I say this as a falcons fan, I'm not so sure about matty ice when he gets under pressure. The coons lost 5 games this year with the number one offense and at least 3 of them were on interceptions in the 4th quarter. I don't think I'd have the stones not to hedge."

Think the big advantage for the patriots is the defence Atlanta have the number 1 scoring offence Patriots have the number 3 scoring offence Atlanta have the number 27 scoring defence Patriots have the number 1 scoring defence If the pats take the ball and get up early it will ne hard for the falcons to play catchup and get enough stops

"One thing that made me chortle last night, was when Freeman got the receiving TD and was surrounded by his team mates congratulating him. I mean I know HB's are normally short to nip through the gaps, but it looked fucking ridiculous at how small he was compared to the others. Great combo though him and Coleman."

Grumpster- yes he was. So he's spent his whole career across the field from either AJ Green or Julio. Not bad work if you can get it!

But I still think Ryan is rather overrated. He's been lucky to have at least one future hall of fame receiver (or tight end) to throw the ball to for the vast majority of his career. I'd say almost all the NFL quarterbacks could absolutely shine in that system with those players.

"Exactly. Having a really solid #2 reciever, or almost a #1.5 reciever as the #2 will open up so much for a team. Watching Ryan last night, it was so easy for him due to the quality of the receiving targets and other players around him. They were basically playing catch. Would love to see a new team- especially one that's so much fun to watch- win the Super Bowl."

"Pittsburgh lost from the moment Bell went down. From then on it was a simple case of just making sure Brown didn't get the ball. Regardless of what people say about Brown, Bell is what makes them tick. Talented as Brown is you can take him out of the game quite easily if there are no other weapons to account for. It's what Beckham has faced all season long as well. Atlanta is really lucky in that you can't just double cover Jones to stop them. If you do that, they have other viable recievers who can really hurt you, and a couple of great backs. The Super Bowl could be a fantastic game this year."
