NFL (since 2016)

"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Hermit Road 12:31 Wed Jul 31 Ha. True on the last bit. Of two minds on the original post. I would appreciate knowing their rationale for the call ( the NFL overall does a better job of explaining things than most sports but they also are stopping play all the time already.) They have been relatively silent on this. And the pretty nothing sum is going to charity if he wins. That said, law in sports always threatens to open up some cans of worms. A lot of things done on sporting fields that are illegal in the real of life. And it is really not going to change anything important."

"Personally I like the idea of the courts keeping the NFL in check.....That call was so blatant that it needs an explanation. I think it's good for the game..... There is so much money bet on the game and riding on the game for teams and players that it needs policing. Another call I remember that was just a dubious was the tuck rule in favour of Tom Brady and the Pats against Oakland, another terrible call, these calls were so bad that you have to question the integrity of the NFL."

"That's ridiculous. Yeah, it was among the worst calls ever in the history of sport but there's no way it should end up at court unless someone has been charged with fixing the match. I'd put it at 10 I'm the all time list of bad calls. The 9 above it all happened against us in our last season at Upton Park."

"The litigious nature of the States is legendary but I must confess, I am curious about what will come of this. https://nypost.com/2019/07/30/roger-goodell-ordered-to-testify-over-rams-saints-no-call/ Roger Goodell ordered to testify over Rams-Saints no-call NEW ORLEANS ""î A Louisiana judge ordered that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and three officials from January's NFC title game be questioned under oath in September about the infamous ""no-call""ù that helped the Los Angeles Rams beat the New Orleans Saints in January's NFC title game, a lawyer said Monday. Attorney Antonio LeMon, who filed a lawsuit over the game that advanced the Rams to the Super Bowl, said he and league attorneys will pick a mutually agreeable date for depositions in New Orleans ""î barring any league appeals that might delay or cancel the questioning. ..."

"It's HBO. There's a load of old ones on YouTube,. You can also watch them through the NFL app which is well worth paying for because, not only do you get the live games and highlights, but the extra content is excellent. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQr6wCfKooPQyJdToaH6JmzEwf50GogAs"

That's about my assessment of it Hock. Jeff Fisher being a Head Coach for so long was truly astounding. He was incredibly inept. His Special Teams coach was a great fella though and it's been good to see him do well.

"Thats my favourite show Herms, every season has been a winner so far. Loved Arians in the first season, was more impressed with Garrett than I thought I was going to be, but as for Jeff Fisher, was just astounded that he survived for so long and that he seemingly had so much respect within the game. I thought he was drunk in a few scenes. Great show."

"Anyone been enjoying the new ""òAll Or Nothing' on Prime with the Panthers. Good watch as always. Lots of talent in that locker room but too many out of control egos. Hard Knocks starts soon with the circus that is the Raiders. That will definitely be worth watching."

"Think im going to change the format of the league to standard rather than PPR, seems like nonsense to get a full point for every catch you make. Also where was everybody at with regards to chucking in like 10-20 quid for this to hopefully maintain people's attention a bit better?"

"The whole Lewis-murder trial issue is hugely misrepresented by a lot of folk. Lewis was charged with murder alongside his two friends, the trial began with all three of them in the dock, then he flipped and pleaded guilty to providing a false statement to the police after the fight - and took an obstruction of justice charge. Lewis' two mates went on to be tried - and they both walked free after the jury took just a couple of hours to decide that the two deaths happened in self-defence. The police aren't looking for anybody else in relation to the deaths. I don't know the ins and outs of the whole fight - but it seems to be accepted by a lot of people that Lewis wasn't even involved in the physical bit. The police found one of the victims' blood in his limo, but all three men had been inside the car. The only real ""mystery"" is where the hell Ray's white suit went - was never found after that night!"

I've seen him loads on Skip and Shannon. Seems like a lovely fella. Didn't know anything about him being a bit of a Fred West.
