"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"So the Panther's are done already? Newton's shoulder still looks fucked he cant throw properly at all run CMC goes from 200 scirmmage yards against the Rams to 50 agsint the Bucs how is that possible? after all that though they still should have won, whoever called that play on 4th and 1 instead of just letting Newton (6""5 250lbs) just push the pile forwards from the snap needs to be fired."

"Was looking forward to that Browns Jets matchup this week at the start of the season. thought you'd both be competing for a wildcard, now it look slike a huge wet blanket of a game. Just hope OBJ can go off for the sake of my fantasy team! Just seen the score from last night, and of course im matched up against the guy who has the Panther's kicker from last night, He scored more fantasy points than the panther's managed actual points."

"Yep, frickin' unbelievable: Darnold out for at least two games with glandular fever. I don't believe in curses, gods or witchcraft. But I tell you, some witch has cursed the Jets for offending the gods! Our chances in the AFC East were already slim because of, well, Brady and Belichick. But having thrown away a 1-0 fourth quarter lead against the Bills, we're now without our superb quarterback for at least the next two games. This hardly feels like the new dawn at the moment. Un-frickin-believable."

I remember Mono from Happy Day's. I think Pudsy had it. I picked up Adrian Peterson from free agency in my fantasy team today. Looks like he's starting at the weekend. Let's hope he gets some yards.

In a very very jetsy turn of events Sam Darnold is now out with Mono (the kissing disease) and will miss at least the next 2 games against the Browns and patriots.

Thanks. I knew about the T/O but hadn't realised a team would stop a play unilaterally without going out of bounds.

Far Cough 5:06 Tue Sep 10 It was a measure of Brees that he took what a decent defensive coordinator gave him* and still did it without opportunities for that. *Still wonder about the standing so far off for the penultimate play but I guess you do the odds and decide the kicker vs. Brees will do you.

"receivers will normally run out of bounds to stop the clock, not sure if that was applicable to that situation though?"

Hermit Road 5:01 Tue Sep 10 They have to call for but Payton was literally in the ear of the line judge (or whatever the right name for it is) Not that it helped at the end of the first half.

"Guess its treated similar to when a QB slides, once he's giving himself up his forward progress is stopped and the play is dead. I do remember seeing Larry Fitzgerald catching a pass and sliding forward while giving the time out signal but generally the Head coach will probably be stood right in an official's ear to scream time out as soon as he's down."

"That New Orleans game was incredible. Here's what I don't understand though. In the second to last play where the receiver makes the catch, why did the defender touch him when he was down? Wouldn't he have been better off letting him get up and using 2 seconds before touching him?"

"Promised myself I would get some work done and then far forward through the recording I did of Saints Texans game. Great last moments are probably on the internet somewhere. Watson has certainly improved since the last time I saw him and so far the Saints secondary has not, I worry about Brees more than most apparently but absolute masterclass in taking exactly what they gave and clock management on the last mini drive. (The soft zone on the second last play was huge mistake for the Texans though, with Lutz's leg) Can't wait for Rankins to get back and those not so kids in the secondary to find their first season form. Still love Taysom Hill."

"I dont think Gordon is a typical ""cսnt"" he's had some pretty serious substance abuse issues and maybe mental health problems but i think he seems to be a pretty decent guy when he's got his head right, seems to be why Goodell and the league keep giving him so many chances"
