NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"nutsin, that defence is very good and will only get better, the only potential weakness is the qb"

"Saints D seems for real. On the offence, phenomenal play calling with limited weapons. I love Taysom Hill."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Mike A win on the road in an early east coast game is never easy, especially in those conditions. I'm actually glad we got this game out of the way, this was a banana skin game, glad it worked out for us."

"I wouldn't get too excited about today's win, a team of retarded baboons could beat us at the moment"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Niners win yet again. More sacks and turn overs to add to the tally. Next up Panthers, should be a good game in the first half, you know the D line will start to dominate in the second half as usual, the D line is so deep. Julian Taylor played well today, made some big plays. Ninnnnerrrrs!"

Rams need wake up and bring a performance against the Dirty Birds. Saints have a tough match up today with massive injures and need to keep all those NFC South teams down.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Will Keep saying it but the patriots aren't unbeatable, their defence has been playing at a historic rate but against some very poor opposition, their schedule gets much harder in the coming weeks when they play the Browns, Ravens, Eagles, Cowboys, Texans and Chiefs all in a row so will have to see how they do against actual capable quarterbacks. I imagine they'll still more than hold their own but good offences will still be able to put up some points. The Offence is what really concerns me, they are missing key pieces on the Oline the backup left tackle is playing really poorly (Wynn should be back off IR in a couple of weeks to help that out) they have no tight ends of any use whatsoever (still hoping Gronk will make a return) the running game has been well below par, and the pass catching options are falling apart currently, it was Edelman and 2 undrafted rookies for most of the 2nd half against the Giants with Gordon and Dorsett both hurt. 1st round pick Harry is due back off IR in 2 weeks so hopefully he can start to contribute but will take some time to get going. Would not surprise me if the Pats go hard after a couple of offensive weapons before the trade deadline, heard plenty of rumours linking OJ Howard and AJ green with trades but the bengals seem to have said he's not for sale which seems odd considering how terrible they are"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Madden's been done with TV for probably 10 years. Used have his all Madden team for ""heart"" guys. Gave the special teams one year to a maintenance guy at the Superdome. A rock concert left their canvas bag up in the rafters and the Saints did fireworks before a game. The bag caught fire and was dropping bits onto the field during the game. The guy went up and gets filmed putting out the fire while the play is at the other end."

"Chiefs upcoming fixtures are the Packers, Vikings, Titans Chargers with a Bye somewhere in between If Mahomes misses all those games you could easily see them losing at least 2/3 of them then they'll be in a battle t even make the playoffs nevermind worry about 1st round bye's and seedings"

"Not sure - the guy must be well into his 80s by now. He won the Super Bowl in 1977, and had already been the Raiders' head coach for a while before then. I guess most people know his name these days because of the computer game franchise. I used to play it very badly - way back in the day - but haven't seen a version of it for about 15 years."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Btw, the same surgeon who described that dislocation etc., estimated that the minimum amount of time it would take to recover would be 4-6 weeks. But that assumes minimal ligament damage that does not require surgery. If he has to go under the knife, then you're looking at ""several months"", which is season-ending. The bigger issue of all, though, is to ensure that the knee-cap is 100% centred again - or the risk of a repeat injury in future is high. So they may play safe and perform surgery just to ensure the knee is stable over the next few years. If it is misaligned when it heals, then the risk of another dislocation is much higher."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"View of a knee surgeon... ""The patella is held in a centralized location by ligament structures on both sides, medially (inside of the knee) and laterally (outside of the knee). In order for the patella to dislocate laterally, which is the direction it always goes, the medial retinaculum and medial patellofemoral ligament have to tear. ""An MRI scan will assess a few things. It can visualize the medial soft tissue and assess the extent of ligament tearing. Also, when the patella dislocates, a specific pattern of bone bruising is visible on the medial side of the femur and the lateral side of the trochlea, which is the groove on the end of the femur where the patella tracks."" So, in short, it won't be a swift return. Sounds like there will have to have been at least some ligament damage and tearing for the knee to have dislocated in the first place. That will need to heal - so Chiefs fans should be hoping that the damage is minimal."
