NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"The Burfict suspension is a complete stitch-up. I've also got little time for him, although he was a very fine player for years at Cincinnati - if mental. But the NFL's rationale for suspending him is nuts. This bullcrap about accumulative dirty play is just garbage. If they genuinely knew (which they did not) that he was one more bad hit away from a long suspension, then they surely had a duty to inform the player and the Raiders. The Raiders would quite rightly not have signed him if they knew a lengthy suspension was close. It's nuts. RG just wanted Burfict banned because he's a huge tit and an embarrassment to the NFL. But, in reality, that's not enough to suspend somebody for the entire season. If it was, half of the Patsies would be out and the Fish would be banned from the NFL forever! ;-)"

"I have no time for vontaze burfict but this article again explains goodell's shambolic running of the sport, and the way he has different rules for different players https://www.espn.co.uk/nfl/story/_/id/28090386/vontaze-burfict-rejects-myles-garrett-comparison-blasts-roger-goodell"

[Makes mental note to write to whoever replaces Gase as Jets coach: MUST sign Pouncey at first opportunity after his ban]

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yeah. If the two OL men on hand initially had done their job properly and parked Garrett on his arse, maybe it wouldn't have got out of hand. That being said, Rudolph wanted a sneaky shot while his mate was holding Garrett back."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Pouncey was in full fight mode at one point, to be fair to him. Proper QB protection, that: I want that centre on my team! I notice that nobody wanted to go toe-to-toe with him. They all just left him alone while they got on with the posturing and handbags in the aftermath of the Garrett-Rudolph incident."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
The way Rudolph turned and pleaded with the refs after kicking it off and winding it up was worse than anything Garrett did. Proper snide behaviour.
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"How the fuck did Rudolph start it? It was a late hit and the bloke drove him into the ground way after the ball had gone, he had every right to be upset"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Little scuffle? Rudolph and Garrett was lucky, the helmet padding hit him, if it was the top of the helmet, we might be talking about a funeral"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yeah, read quite a few supposed ""accounts"" of this incident now, and a few players, journos and commentators are claiming punches, kicks and digs which I cannot see anywhere in the footage. This is already turning into the Battle of Cable Street - when everybody's grand-dad pretended they were there giving the blackshirts a wallop when, in reality, they were sat at home drinking Bovril, suffering from scurvy and darning potatoes."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Way over the top. It's a little scuffle. Modern life has almost totally emasculated men. Couple of games ban maybe but all the talk of ""òhe could have killed him' is laughable. Rudolph is a massive minge as well for starting it and then moaning when he got hit. The only one who comes out of this well is Pouncey."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Those Steelers OL men were weak except for no. 53. He was the only one who reacted like he should have done. Garrett should have beeen on his arse long before he threw that helmet
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Having just thought about it, no, Brashear is lucky to be alive, in any case, both incidents are atrocious"
