"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Do still get some bad calls. Roughing the passer one against the Raiders that got the Jets their TD was a fucking joke.

Another win for the Saints. Missed Lattimore at times but relatively easy in the end. Nice to have Kamara really back. Number 1 seeded still in their hands.

"crystal, they're very similar. both have very little care in regard to what's going on in the actual sport, and what they deliver and only care about the revenue continuing to flow. it shows how much the nfl share much be, that he seems happy for fed-ex field to be more and more empty as the years pass by. the nfl should do something about had owners, and they get no worse than that little cսnt"

"Doesnt look like the fins wll be in position to take the number 1 pick anyway, amazing coaching job by flores to get that team playing hard and even winning 2 games, cant see the bengals winning twice the rest of the season! Not sure tua would have been the number 1 pick either way with the way i keep seeing this LSU QB playing, looks a real talent (from highlights only)"

"Just reading about the kind of injury that Tua suffered. Not good reading for the kid. He has suffered not only a hip dislocation, but also a fracture to the bone behind the hip joint, through which the hip joint passed when it dislocated (snapping off part of that anterior bone). Which means he may need screws and a plate inserted into his hip, depending on whether the 'ball' joint holds in place once he had surgery. If it doesn't hold in place by itself, the risk of repeat dislocations are high, and he will have needed the screws/plate inserted etc. And that's a longer recovery time. As it is, he's out for a good few months. Possibly longer. But the risk for him is any deterioration in the bone condition after recovery could lead to osteo-arthritis at a young age - putting his career at risk. Poor fella - he is one heck of a player."

"I'm also laughing at the Tua situation. I should clarify - I'm not laughing about the fact that Tua has broken his hip and will be out for a long time. That is terrible for him and his potential NFL career. But I absolutely AM laughing at the fact that the Fish were taking all season in order to land Tua as the #1 in the 2020 draft - and now he has a long-term injury. Tanking is rarely, if ever, a good thing. It is such a fragile set of circumstances - because if they guy you have your eye on gets injured, or suffers a huge loss of form, then you're fucked. ""Suck for Luck"". ""Tank for Tua"" ""Screw for Hugh"" (alright I made that one up) It can all go down the pan very quickly. It's the nature of the beast. The Jets desperately wanted Baker Mayfield in last year's draft, and we were shit anyway - so there was a good chance we could have got him. We could have tanked the last three games and ended up with the #1 draft pick and landed Mayfield. But they knew that Darnold and Saquon Barkley were going to be in the top five picks anyway. So Todd Bowles, to his credit, tried to keep winning. It just so happened that he was terrible at his job and we couldn't win anyway. So we landed Darnold. Who could still be very, very good with the right coach. Don't tank. Just be proper shit. Like the Jets."

"The Kaepernick Roadshow is just embarrassing for everybody involved - him, his ridiculous entourage, the NFL and its ridiculous entourage. The only beneficiaries are the appalling US media, which seems to lap up this nonsense. Casting aside all of the horrendous politics of this situation on all sides, Kaepernick has not played in the NFL for three seasons - since 2016. By 2020, his next opportunity, it will have been four seasons. He ain't going to QB any NFL team any time soon. He will not be physically as fit as he should be, he will not know any playbook and he will not be ready in time - unless it is for the start of next season. Everybody, including him, should stop kidding themselves about the ""comeback"". He might play Arena ball, or CFL or something - fine. But on a purely NFL basis, four years out, for a QB, is too much."
