NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

colchesterhammer 3:20 Wed Jul 15 He was immense in the superbowl - he seemed to be reading Jimmy G's mind the way he managed to bat so many passes. Either that or he was a cat in his previous life (albeit a massive one with ludicrously long front legs).

"Great to see that we have tied up Chris Jones to a 4 year deal. What with him staying and the Mahomes deal it's been a great offseason for us. Kept a lot of the SB winning side together, bolstered by some exciting rookies."

"I saw the namechange is being held up because some real estate agent in america has trademarked upwards of 30 different possible names that may have been considered! Very clever move, could be looking at a good payout for the rights!"

""" Washington's change of name was inevitable the moment the sponsors got involved. It's all about the dollars now, I'm afraid.""ù The revolution will be sponsored. The NBA are selling shirts with F*ck the Police on the back. They refuse to sell them with FreeHongKong on the back though."

"Washington's change of name was inevitable the moment the sponsors got involved. It's all about the dollars now, I'm afraid. So it's worth just reflecting that in the new name. Washington SponsoredBy Washington Creditors Washington Avoidance The FedEx Fuckstains Something along those lines? Not sure the Jets' name will last, given the shift to green energy!"

"Minnesota has an NBA team called the Timberwolves, howling hasn't helped the team much at all"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Despite most native Indians not having a problem with the name or emblem the Redskins get more grief than other teams due to an old newspaper advertisement. It was from way back, 1870's or some-such. When the US State was driving Indians off the land and there was a bounty on all dead bodies. It advertised ""Bring in a Redskin and collect $5 Bounty""ù Mark my words it will not stop with sport or the Redskins, the people don't know when to stop. And I personally think they do not where to start. But I suspect most have already made that presumption."

"I think I prefer Redwolves - I like the idea of howling, that would be good in the stadium. Don't like Redtails at all, not keen on Warriors either."

"Lee Trundle 5:31 Mon Jul 13 Re: NFL (since 2016) The Chiefs do a tomahawk chop and war cry at their home games, which would make it difficult if they did change their name to something more PC. Exeter Chiefs do that as well...."

"Lee Trundle 4:52 Mon Jul 13 The Chicago Blackhawks (formerly Black Hawks) were named after an actual person out of respect, same with the emblem. It has received a lot less criticism than those other clubs."

Fighting Irish NE Patriots must be on the chopping block when the SJWs have moved on from Frederick Douglas and Gandhi.

"There's recently been some noise about the Chiefs changing their name, but no where near as much as the Redskins. Atlanta Braves Chicago Blackhawks Cleveland Indians Any others?"
