"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Yeah, but that was his team-mate - and it was just a finger-poke. It seems a bit OTT, even for a 'roided-up NFL player. Mind you, we've seen worse things done for less, I guess!"

Southband In the video there you can see the previous play where CJGJ pokes his finger underneath the facemask of Wim's teammate. That is what they think instigated it.

"Hahahaha! I wouldn't mind - it's a crap punch. I guess he felt he had to hit him with an open-palm, otherwise punching a helmet would be plain stupid. So he sort of slapped him. Handbags. Did anyone get to the bottom of why Wims went after him? Seemed quite random and if it was just a response to sledging then he's even more of an idiot."

"Grumpster 1:30 Mon Nov 2 ""See the chicago fella throwing punches? Ha ha, nothing like punching a bloke wearing a crash helmet"" Forgot I was going to comment on this: CJGJ - Chauncey Gardner-Johnson or Ceedy Duce as he would like to be known, the guy that drew the punch is apparently amazing at winding people up. In this case he stuck his finger into another player's mouth the play before. He is the one that Michael Thomas sucker punched in practice and picked up a team suspension as a result. If only he was as good at covering receivers."

"Trundle - I'm here to serve! The thing is, I'm running out of things to complain about with him now. He's so bad that we've more or less emptied the cupboard with ridicule at this stage of the season. All I find myself doing now is diffing out more stats which show just how atrocious he is. If he tried to tie his shoelaces, he'd tie his left foot to his right, fall over and then outsource shoelace-tying duties to his defensive co-ordinator for the remainder of his lifetime. IronsofCanada - you have nothing to complain about! (Although I think you're right) ;-)"

Speaking of the woes of our teams - I know I really should not talk - I would switch defensive coordinators with most any team at this point. Pro Bowl/All Rookie team secondary that have digressed under ours.

"Btw, The more informed rumour mill suggests that Jim Harbaugh is emerhing as the favourite to take over at the Jets at the end of this season. I'll have that. I like the look of Bieniemy at Kansas (OC) to step up to HC. But persuading Harbaugh to move away from Michigan would be a very big move. He had a near-60% win record at the 49ers and has been turned Michigan around at college level. My guess is Harbaugh will wait to see whether the Jets have the #1 pick (for Lawrence) or a big trade. But bringing him in, to coach Lawrence, would be a strong start to a longer-term turnaround."

"I see the Jets' season just goes from strength to strength. As a Jets coach, the Idiot Gase now has more losses by a margin of 20+ points than he has wins. He's going to surpass Kotite as the worst coach in the history of the franchise, if not the NFL. I'm not mucking around - I think the WHO NFL community could throw random plays into a hat on bits of screwed up paper and randomly select a better game-winning formula than Adam Gase. Still, the inadvertent masterplan to tank to 0-16 for Lawrence or an epic Cowgirls/Vikes deal is coming along a treat..!"

"Rashad was a superb receiver. Looked like a running back, wore the number of a running back, bashed cornerbacks around like a running back - but he was a receiver. Damn good hands and always found space."

"FC I did not know there was a Rashad connection there. Interesting. Was looking it up based on this and lots of NFL (or football in general) acting connections. Like the Rock, Carl Weathers played in the CFL. Burt Reynolds was decent running back in college, apparently. I forgot Terry Crews played quite a few NFL games. Sloth in Goonies. OJ of course.. Bunch of actors I never knew were players as well."

"irons, Tarkenton was just before my time, when I lived there, ""Ten Minute"" Tommy Kramer was the QB You may have seen the Cosby show in which Cosby's on screen wife is played by Phylicia Rashad his wife The standout catch of Rashad's career came in a December 1980 game against the Cleveland Browns. Vikings quarterback Tommy Kramer threw a Hail Mary pass to RashƒÅd that resulted in a come-from-behind 28""ì23 victory and a Central Division title for the Vikings. This became known as ""The Miracle at the Met"", or, alternatively, ""The Miracle Catch"". RashƒÅd also has the distinction of the longest play from scrimmage that didn't score a touchdown: 98 yards in a 1972 game against the Rams. Not a fan of Bradshaw but I do like Howie Long"

"Forget that people like Rashad had very decent to great careers before being broadcasters. Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long - same Strahan - more recent so I tend to remember him playing. Never really knew Fran Tarkenton as anything except a host of That's Incredible."

I'm on target for my lowest fantasy score by some distance...unless the Eagles defence can keep bringing the heat on that CFB QB that the cowboys are playing with.
