"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"The Fantasy League goes like that, it's unforgiving. But there should be some kind of return to the mean where your high draft picks find form and you win games. Think the team that won our league last year only had a 6-7 record in the regular season games and hit form late on?? I'm happy with my team - on paper - I just keep losing more often than not!"

"Bottom of the fantasy pile already with the perfect storm combining together - lowest points for and the highest points against. I'd have needed to average a whopping 122 points a week to win, as opposed to the lowest (WHU Eagles) who averages only 89 points against a week! That combined with the Jags last second FG means my WLT record is identical to my team :O("

Yeah. How about them Cowgirls.! Bog average team. In a shit division. Doesn't make a Championship team. Enjoy the warmth of the sunlight you're basking in at this current moment in time. But I wouldn't start planning that ticker tape parade just yet. Go G Men.

Zeb Deal is most definitely back! Think Zeeek has had quite a resurgence as well So many weapons going forward Cooper lamb Wilson but I actually think pollard is the stand out for me Still giving up to many big plays for my liking but defensively still have a lot of big players missing if they get through the next 4/5 weeks form wise when they'll all be back I can really see them having a big season Not sure I can take many more games like Sunday that was way to stressful

Norflundon 7:15 Mon Oct 18 Dak is back and their secondary has mostly got its act together. Amari Cooper and CD Lamb are still class and Dalton Shultz has been a bit of a revelation (glad I got him for my fantasy team).

"That is poor. Shows a lack of respect to Taylor and his poor family. They could at least have put a temporary fence/tarp/covering up to block the view of the shitters. They probably had to listen to some 20 stone bloke squeezing out his tailgate BBQ and beers while trying to pose as well! I can't believe Snyder didn't have a suit on either. Regardless of whether you're class on the field, which you don't always have a choice about, you can always choose to be class OFF the field. Slightly different mood, but look how the Giants handled Eli Manning's jersey retirement recently. Night and day. (Still shit on the field, though...) https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/q9C9VPZePEDQ6-28uVL4ZFoCfb0=/0x0:5061x3374/1200x800/filters:focal(2127x1283:2935x2091)/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/69911800/1342911694.5.jpg https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_editorial_landscape_12_desktop/giants/sbqidzmdrnlvret6eh50"

There was a respected football journalist from the Washington Post who, about two years after Danny Boy taking over, wrote on a blog ""Things are bad, they'll get better, but if I'll doubt we'll fall to the level of the Bengals or Lions"" I'd actually like to be as good as the Bengals or the Lions at the moment."

"the clown show at redskins park goes from bad to worse. the football side of things is bad enough but the garbage owner must be in his last days after the last couple of weeks. employees named in the gruden emails (allegedly one of the coordinators + bruce allen), a group of former employees involved in potential lawsuits against the owner, the head of fitness/conditioning arrested by DEA agents at the training facility and in a week to bury bad news, they decide with three days notice (for the fans) to retire sean taylor's shirt number. a ceremony that was embarrassing, during it you had mahomes retarded tik tokker brother fucking about on the opposite sideline and and after supposedly naming a road after the player in tribute, the scum running the franchise decide to take a group photo of sean's family in front of the road sign - completely oblivious to the row of portable toilets in the background. it couldn't have been cheaper or more disrespectful"

Off to watch the Dolphins v the Jags. Only other time I've seen the Fins was against the Giants at Wembley and they went on to win the Super Bowl. No chance of lightning striking twice! It'll be interesting to see what the view's like from the back of the Spurs stadium too.

"Herm - you so seem to be failing to grasp the 'put it in an email' bit. That does change 'thoughts' into something called correspondence. If sent to more than one other individual (I have no idea whether Gruden's email was - and couldn't care less), even an email could also be construed to constitute a 'publication' for defamation purposes. That's the law. Which are not just thoughts - but have actually been written down. But I do generally agree with you. It does look and feel a bit 'storm in a tea cup', given that the emails were probably private and sent ten years ago. But this is the era we live in now - and anything people commit to correspondence can come back to bite them on the ass."

"The lack of perspective around Gruden is telling. He slagged off a bloke he doesn't like who has massive lips and took the piss out of his big lips. That seems to have qualified him as a grand Duke of the Klan. It's possible to say something nasty about someone who isn't your colour and not be a candidate for the Hitler youth. In more innocent days gone by as a youth in a mostly black school, their lips were fair game and they got to talk about how we were stuck with tiny cocks. Fortunately for me I didn't conform to the stereotype and sported a whopper. Unfortunately for me I have lips that could stop a Lamarr Jackson run."

"""Just to be clear, and pedantic, 'thought crime' deals only with your thoughts."" Thoughts...which were put in a private email between two people. Bit of a stretch to say they were published by him. He was guilty of thinking the wrong things and not knowing that in a few years they would be considered worse than punching your wife or little kid in the stomach (see Tyreek Hill who is still employed in the NFL)"

"The Gruden story that is playing out seems completely at odds with the character we saw on Hard Knocks. In fact, I am astounded as he seemed to have reciprocated affection with all of his players, regardless of colour. Knock on wood if you are with me."

"Naturally, I'll give Saleh some time because he was a fine DC for the 49ers. But his early days have not been covered in glory. Some of his schemes look dated and, as with other past DCs-turned-HCs we've had (Ryan, Bowles, Mangini, Edwards)...he's struggling on the offensive side of the ball. Even with a better roster, he'd have lost us these opening games through bad play-calling. I like the cut of his jib and he promises much. But Saleh has a LOT to learn."
