NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Frozen pitch in Seattle after the snow earlier. Totally broke a Bears player last quarter. Got tackled at the last second and caught by his ankles while he was at full sprint. Commentators: ""Oh man! That was like a cartoon and his entire skeleton left his body as he slammed the floor""ù Bloke was poured onto a stretcher Commentators still didn't know who he was"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"[as unenthusiastically as possible] Go...er...Jets! Jets/Jags was a comedy of errors. I thoroughly recommend watching it, if you needed cheering up after our West Ham game. Just for starters, watch the opening Jags TD. Lawrence makes a beeline for the end zone, ball in hand, but fumbles it - and it diverts straight to one of his own players. Who scores! Two extremely poor sides. Like a wooden spoon boxing match."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Lawrence is proving what a good QB he is here. Should get the Jags a win over the shit Jets. SNOW game in Seattle.
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Stafford with two more pics, last one gave the Vikes 1st and goal and of course they scored a T D so now it's 13-10. Stafford is having a nightmare. Just under threw a wide open receiver on a 3rd and 2. Poor Old Rams!"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"I'm watching the Rams play the Vikes""¶. Actually want the Rams to win as it's good for the Niners if the Vikes lose. Stafford is so overrated""¶. Throws a pick on his own 10yard line. Threw it straight to the Vikings defender, shocking throw! Only good QB in the NFC West is Wilson, rest of the starters are average at best."

Another game decided by the officials That's a shocking PI call against the browns
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"If he was anything better than OK, we would have been 24-0 up in the game instead of 10-0, as the 2 open receivers he missed with throws my mum could have completed were shocking and unfortunately it happens most games. Same for most teams really, as decent QB's extremely thin on the ground currently."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Jimmy G's OK. He was 26 of 32 for 320 yards, which isn't bad (if you think k that's bad, just look at any Jets QB's stats since 2008). His problem is that he turns the ball over at clutch moments just.a little too often, like many NFL QBs. That's why he'll never be elite level. He's just OK - nothing more or less. Some teams would kill for that at QB right now, but ambitious sides rightly want more. His problem is that these days fans don't even want to accept that ""OK""ù exists: it's either ""great""ù or ""shite""ù. So with Jimmy they opt for shite. He'd also do better in a different system/offence. 49ers are gearing up for TL."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Ahead of the NoShowBowl against the Jags, the Jets have found a new way to achieve new lows: our head coach has now gone down with Covid. So Saleh won't be on the sidelines. Not that he's made a blind bit of difference since being appointed. The only problem with him being missing, is that his OC and DC have been underperforming perhaps even more than him (certainly the DC). So this will be painful. Watching the second-worst team in the NFL play the worst team in the NFL - also currently without a full-time HC after sacking Meyer. No talent, no coaches and very few wins or ideas between them. Enjoy this one, folks. I'm going for a lights-out 35-34 to somebody! Either that or 0-0."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
The bears shot themselves in foot a lot but fuck me there were some terrible officiating in that game I'd say that almost as bad as the raiders cowboys

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"TM - agree with those draft focuses. The other thing that Saleh could do, today, to improve the Jets is to start calling defensive plays. He needs to trust his own ability/history. One of the reasons I'm so massively disappointed in Saleh so far is that he is probably the best defensive mind at the franchise (all things are relative!). Yet he's left a lesser coach in charge of defense. He has no offensive expertise, was a successful DC and should have bought himself time as HC by shoring up our defense first - while he learned the rest of the job. Instead, If we start badly next season, he's probably for the chop at the end of 2022. So he hasn't helped himself. Which really is not clever and begs a lot of questions. He'll need to go 7-10 or 8-9 next season to keep his job. Possible, but (in a division with Belichick, the Bills and the improving Fish) I can't see that unless he drafts superbly in April."

"I think you drafted two good weapons in carter & moore. I watched the game against the eagles and you later pretty well but were weak against the tight end goddart. he should target a decent couple of linebackers and a good strong safety, it would instantly improve you"

Grump - there has been no improvement whatsoever so far. Zilch. Nadda. Believe me. It might arrive. But don't hold your breath.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Fair point, Isaac. Although when two of those wins have been against us, I wouldn't be celebrating too hard! We are god awful, yet went in 17-10 up at half-time: our first half-time lead this season!"
