"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Thanks to the Kelce super show I am top of the league! That's despite leaving 95 points on the bench already this season (worst in the league for that). May as well milk it while I can, because it surely won't last. Need Tua back almost as much as Miami too."

"The ESPN article has these fun quotes ""The NFL is a mafia,"" [Snyder] recently told an associate. ""All the owners hate each other."" ""That's not true,"" one veteran owner says. ""All the owners hate Dan."""

In addition to the ""shadow investigation"" allegations, Snyder has also been accused of sexually harassing a former employee in 2009, the Washington Post reported. This included demanding sex and trying to take off her clothes as well as groping her, per the report. Snyder has denied the allegations, but his team reached a $1.6 million settlement with her. Many NFL employees who have worked with him described him as ""paranoid"" and fretted that action taken against him could elicit mutually assured destruction. Fear of his blackmail has made him ""the most powerful owner in the NFL,"" a source surmised to ESPN. ""[Snyder sees] evil lurking in every shadow and around every corner,"" one associate told ESPN. News of Snyder's purported belief that his ""dirt"" on NFL brass could shield him from discipline comes against the backdrop of the Oversight committee investigation into him. In a letter sent to the investigative panel last week, lawyers for Snyder decried the inquiry as a ""hatchet job"" as some speculate the inquiry is winding down. Snyder reportedly testified before the committee for nearly 11 hours over the summer."

"I dunno. They aren't going to have to score a lot of points to win games. They haven't conceded over 20 in a single game yet this season. Set up to be able to run, block and protect well, and for the QB to manage the game at take a few shots downfield at the right time, with a couple of very talented receivers who will get open in those few spots. They've got it in them to grind out low scoring games, like a lot of those Ravens, 49ers and Steelers sides from the last decade or so and they are playing to their strengths and not trying to do anything that's beyond them. Of course 1-2 injuries changes all that in a heartbeat and as usual their biggest problem could be keeping player egos in check. Next week's game will be an interesting watch although given they are both utter cսnt franchises, there's no real winner."

"Yep, my personal view is Dallas' offense won't quite be good enough even with Prescott back (when he's back). They have traditionally come up short in the clutch moments on offense in big games. Including with Dak. It was the same with Romo. I still fancy the likes of Mahomes, Brady, Allen etc in those moments. That defense will make them very competitive, though, if they can generally stay fit."

Hold fire boys on them Cowgirls. They string a couple of wins together and the sound gets ramped up to 11.! That what the media does. Come back after week 12 or 13 and start getting moist. Until then. Best keep your powder dry.

"Yeah, that Dallas defense is very impressive. Just well-drilled, even when they have to shuffle their pack. Quinn is a very good DC, even if his HC career faltered. And I hear Quinn has a tidy DL coach working under him, too! Of course, Parsons creates so much panic that others also benefit from that. He is exceptional...not just with how he plays, but how he forces opponents to make changes to accommodate him - which upsets their gameplan further."

"Yup- the good offenses beat up on the shitty defenses in the regular season and are prepared to take far more risks with the ball. It all tightens up in the playoffs and almost everyone gets more conservative because one mistake and you're done. The balance of power switches to the defense in those situations. Unfortunately the cuntboys do look legit on defense at the moment. Jones is a fucking cսnt but he (or rather his scouts) can pick a good OLB/DE. Then again they are very bold on picking or trading for those talented players with 'character concerns' or other things that other teams pass on, so it could all backfire at some point. And of course most of us hope that it does."

The Eagles' O line Vs the Dallas D Line is a top contest. Will be interesting to see how it pans out although the Eagles have got an injured left tackle so that won't help. With the Eagles' defence playing well this should be a tight game.

Offence wins games. Defence wins titles.! As the old saying goes. The Steelers have pretty much built their club around defence. 85 Bears are revered because of it. It's the fine margins between stepping up and fucking up on D that decides the outcome of a season.(Same goes for West Ham. Last 2 seasons we have had our best +/- goal difference. And look at the outcome.!) Offensive players get all the headlines. But it's usually the defensive players that make the difference over the season.

"If it's poss to win a Super Bowl with a defence then we have a chance as they are monsters the lot of them. They destroyed Stafford and Jones last week, there will be a lot of QB's spending a week in the ice bath after playing us. Cooper rush nice and steady and finally Pollard getting some snaps that boy has got some serious jets. Looks like him and zeek working in tandem is giving teams real problems. Still a lot of work to do on the offense and was a real worry seeing Parsons limping for half the game but still managed to get two sacks whilst injured the bloke is a complete Freek NFC looks a strong division this year massive game Sunday away to Philly be interesting to see how Hurts stands up against a top three defence"

"Seen a lot of Fish fans wanging on this morning, and late last night, about being down to their third-string QB. They are aware that their second stringer started the game, but was put out of it when Sauce sacked him for a safety? He then fell victim to the (understandably) cautious new concussion protocol. Besides, it was Teddy, who was previously our third stringer. If Miami want to complain about losing QBs, maybe get some better protection first. We've had to improvise with our O-line for months. It's why we had to make do with Flacco for weeks. Vera-Tucker got drafted as a left guard, and so far this season has played in four positions on our offensive line (LG, LT, RG, RT)."
