NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"I'm not going to carry on and bandy words with someone whos says LT ""Shits on Butkus"" because quite clearly he doesn't even the pros, you know the people who have played the game, are divided over who was the better LB. Yes LT was a great LB maybe one of the best if not the best but he certainly doesn't shit on Dick Butkus by any stretch."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Did Butkus force coaches to change the way offense was played in the NFL? No. Did Taylor? Yes. It's that simple.
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Butkus ate running backs for breakfast and there were some pretty tough bastard RBs in those days (Larry Csonka springs to mind). As you said LT was different in that he was a sack machine and his record really is staggering: MVP (he must be the last defence player to win that), 2 Superbowls, 10 Pro-bowls and that is for starters. Butkus was a beast who played for a not very good team."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
In what way does LT shit all over Butkus and remember Taylor was an outside LB whereas Butkus was a middle LB?

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Hmmm, no one else want to give their opinion on Dick Butkus probably the greatest Linebacker of all time who passed away last October?"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Not bothered by last nights result, rather get a performance out of the way where half the team play shit now rather than when it matters, as win the final 2 games and conference is still won."

Takashi Miike 1:56 Tue Dec 19 Although not in Mark Andrews' class yet Isaiah Likely is turning out to be a pretty handy stand in. He is in my Fantasy team now as was Mark Andrews until he got crocked and racking up similar points if not the same yardage per game..

"The Lions have normally been the cellar dwellers of the Black and Blue division, even Barry Sanders, as great he was couldn't help them."

"picked out the Ravens weeks ago, not sure they have the weapons though if Andrews remains out. My favourite NFC team to watch are the Lions, would love them to keep winning but Goff is always prone to a nightmare performance. Would love us to hire their OC Ben Johnson as the next HC, will probably get beat by another franchise given how slow we get things done"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"don't think the dolphins are anywhere near others, tbh. They've beaten the Chargers, the Pats (x2), Broncos (when they were shit), Giants, Jets (x2), Panthers, Raiders & Redskins. They've lost to the Bills, Chiefs & Eagles - put another way, anyone resembling a competent football team - and also managed to lose to the Titans. 9ers look nailed on in the NFC, for me. Cowboys struggle outside of Dallas, Eagles have been shit all year and are now getting the results that performances have deserved, Detroit are flaky and prone to doing some ridiculous things as well as great things, and everyone else is average at best. Would be a spectacular fail if they don't win the NFC from here."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Toney is an absolute offense killer as well. I'll be surprised if he sticks around too long.
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Watched the last Chiefs game and they are much more conservative than they used be when they has Hill/Watkins/Hardman at WR. It was mostly short passes to Rashee Rice. Kelce was very quiet but he was double teamed most of the time. He did manage to drop a sitter and took an outrageous dive in attempt get a PI flag. Not much of a running game to speak of either but Edwards-Hilaire and McKinnon did get passes out the backfield. Still, a win is a win."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Loving the NFC picture at the moment. Teams queueing up a game or two back from the 49ers. Cowboys and Eagles really starting to fade and about 4-5 coming up on the rails for a grandstand finish. You just feel anyone who gets into the playoffs could beat anyone else. 49ers seem the closest to a banker but 1-2 injuries away from being ordinary like earlier in the season with the bad spell. Same in the AFC. Maybe give it marginally to the Dolphins and the Ravens have been almost under the radar but anyone could emerge from that conference this year. The Bills are coming into some form at just the right time""¶ The chiefs look really ordinary this year. If Kelce misses time then they're done. Playoffs are going to be really exciting and unpredictable I think. Loving it."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Think it was 2017 we done a bit of a West Coast tour (Cal-Nevada-Utah-Arizona)... done all the great driving roads and fantastic National Parks... and ended up in last three nights in the shit hole that is Las Vegas... my daughter loved the Dolphins (the team I had stuck with since the great 13-Marino days)... not that she was really into Gridiron but more the design of the Jersey (which she wore)... we passed a Lids (whole shop designated to baseball caps) said to her come on lets pop in and I would buy her a 'Fins cap if the had a decent one... so there we are looking in this fucking HUGE store at the tens of thousands of NBA, NFL, NHL and College and Uni' team caps... there was nothing they did not have... got to the NFL section... looking... shit loads of 'Niners... Cowboys.. Bears... Packers... but can't see any Miami.... called over one of the black shop assistants... and ask if they have any Dolphins hats... the bloke looked at me with the biggest WTF expression I have ever seen... laughed.... and then called out to his buddy... ""Hey... we got Dolphins stuff out the back""?? The answer was no... instead I was pointed into the far corner ... and there was two or three dust laden old shitty orange caps... we made our excuses and left... on the way out my daughter said... ""Christ Dad... are they really THAT bad""?? I didn't have an answer.... .... anyway... FF 6/7 years.... I have the huge urge to book a flight to Vegas.... find that same shop... walk in there and shout GO FINS... and then get the next flight back home out of that shit hole..."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Didn't expect to wake up to that score at all, and the complete opposite of our recent 4th quarter collapses. Massively benefits the 49ers being the only downside really. So, I guess""¶ Dear Nutsin, Merry Christmas. Lots of love. Those Seattle pretenders X"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
I rewatched the 'fins Jets match today. The Jets do have have a very decent defence and Tua was just throwing short timing passes because that is all he had time to do.Not so good at defending the run but more than passable. Zach Wilson was terrible but working behind that porous offensive line is an impossible challenge. Aaron Rodgers would be stuffed with that let alone Trevor Siemian who was even worse Wilson. Mike White did some competent clock chewing which I liked.

"southbankbornnbred 7:09 - AG! Amazingly enough I don't drink!! I mean I'd love it if he stays, I think that we need something to change and that's literally all I can think of apart from a complete change from the top. So we're kind of thinking the same, it still hurts that this years been such a shit show after the promise pr-season but it is the Jets!!"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"I would not blame Rodgers if he does not want to come back next season, btw. But I guess the lure of his $50m guaranteed income for a final season will be too much for him. The Jets are a shitshow management-wise, still, despite having some real talent on the roster (Sauce, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Johnson etc). It's so frustrating watching poor owners and coaches (Saleh's defensive instincts aside) make such atrocious decisions year after year."
