Yeah I'd never heard the majority of tracks. There was a volume 1 released a bit ago too that I'd missed. I saw him DJ at that Southport all dayer (in Finsbury Park!) and he was excellent.

"Glad you are giving Major Parkinson a listen dm. They do have the same as Cardiacs, similar melodies. Try and give their latest album Black Box a listen as an album (they are on bandcamp). In the age of the Spotify single it makes a change as this was written as a whole. They are a seven piece live (the female vocalist is borrowed from another band and isn't in the live line up sadly) but there are 32 musicians on the album credits and it shows - huge sound,"

I'm giving that album Age of the Fifth Sun by God is an Astronaut another listen as I don't like to dismiss an album without giving it at least two listens. not unpleasant but it doesn't really grab me. Probably down to the fact that I'm not overly keen on entirely instrumental albums
