Re: Moyes Out
"I tend to find Adam Bate to be a very good analyst on Sly Sports. He can back up what he thoughtfully thinks on the game with useful targeted stats without being excessively boring and pointless. He can also give decent unbiased context to situations regarding any Club at any given time. Out of all the football nerds in the Media, I think he's right up there as one of the best. Excellent article. As an aside, how comes this Forum appears slower than Mark Noble? I don't mean in an intellectual sense as everyone seems to know their shit. I mean it's slow as arseholes. Very refreshing no holds barred opinions all the same without fear of censorship for calling someone a thick paedo."

Re: Moyes Out
"I've C&P the survey the Athletic did on Moyes, minus the incredible amount of guff they included. 6% of our fans need sectioning if they think Moyes's record of signing strikers is no concern, and they're optimistic about next season. How happy are you with West Ham's style of play under David Moyes? 48.3 per cent of the fans surveyed are very unhappy with West Ham's style of play right now. Despite this, it is still notable just how few fans are either very happy or quite happy with how West Ham play ""î just 9.1 per cent. Does Moyes get the best out of his team? A sizeable 43 per cent of fans believe Moyes rarely gets the best out of this West Ham team, while 37.7 per cent believe he is only able to do so sometimes. Does Moyes receive the right amount of respect? The majority (57 per cent) believe the manager does get the respect he deserves, while 43 per cent think he does not get enough. Should the West Ham board offer Moyes a contract extension? Of the fans surveyed, 75.2 per cent believe Moyes should not be given a contract extension, 11.6 per cent believe he deserves a new deal, and 13.2 per cent are undecided. Are you concerned about West Ham's record of signing strikers during Moyes' time in charge? Of the fans surveyed, 71.6 per cent are very concerned with the club's record of signing strikers during Moyes' time in charge and 22.4 per cent are somewhat concerned. Just six per cent are not concerned. How well do you think Moyes is doing as West Ham manager? Responses to this question were mixed, with 33.4 per cent of respondents saying they believe Moyes is doing either quite badly or very badly. However, 35.8 per cent said he was doing quite well or very well. How has your relationship with the club changed over the 2023-24 season? Given the exodus of fans during the 0-6 loss to Arsenal last weekend, it is no surprise that 48.8 per cent of fans believe their relationship with the club has weakened this season. However, the 43.7 per cent of fans who say their relationship with the club has stayed the same is notable. Where do you think West Ham will finish in the Premier League this season? 49.9 per cent believe West Ham will finish ninth or 10th, 31.8 per cent predict a bottom-half finish and 16.8 per cent think it will be seventh or eighth. How optimistic are you about West Ham's future? Almost 68 per cent of them are either somewhat concerned or very concerned about the team's future. Just over six per cent of fans are very optimistic about the direction the club is heading in."

"Crystal fucking Palace go and appoint a Europa League winner (knocking big spending Moyes out in the process) and someone who has managed in the Champions League, playing proper football along the way. BUT WHO ARE WE GONNA GET TO REPLACE MOYES? THERE'S NO ONE OUT THERE!"

"Yorkammer 2:40 Thu Feb 15 What is this four consecutive seasons bollocks? He's had 2 good consecutive seasons, helped by no fucking fans being in the stadium for a large chunk. Redknapp finishing 5th is better than either of those seasons. Just to confirm, are you a STH? If not, how many times have you been to the stadium to watch us live under Moyes?"

Re: Moyes Out
"I've never found it palatable. Infact for Moyes' entire time here it's felt more like a hostile occupation. A stern, scotch presbyterian step dad trying to set our problem child club straight. The stadium move stripped away everything off the pitch from our identity, Moyes stripped everything on the pitch. At our best, i feel like we're watching Mourinho's Chelsea, but most the time I feel like i'm watching Pulis' Stoke - or more aptly - Moyes' Everton. Who the fuck ever wanted to be Moyes' Everton? Even when we were in the championship I had no fucking desire to ever be Moyes' Everton. It's not that it's gone wrong (which it has), it's that I never wanted it in the first place, but all that is irrelevant to anyone who has a less romantic view of West Ham unless we're getting tonked on the reg."

Re: Moyes Out
"I found it palatable in that first season when he came back. The press was high and effective, often we broke down counter attacks before they got going was playing a lot more in the oppositions half.....they basically bought into it. Then he flogged that team to death when it clearly needs excellent squad management to sustain it.......instead he shrank it back to this boring, fetal position, bottle job football we see now hoping the opposition wouldn't take their chances. He finds the formula to make us hard to beat but because he can't master squad rotation he fucks it up to shrink into his own shell.......get rid......"
Re: Moyes Out
"Having read the plaudits for moyes from his chums like ferdinand and sutton it was good to read the article by Martin Samuel in The Times yesterday. Under the heading 'Moyes ugly style does not help him' after a fair and punchy short article he surmised 'moyes style of play is palatable only if it brings winning football which it hasn't this year. Minds shifts to managers who could lose better, quite a few of them it seems!!. Very true I think!"

Takashi Miike 12:44 Thu Feb 15 You clearly gave a lot of thought to that detailed analysis. Shame there isn't an online encyclopedia that provides such information.

"clearly 'a lot of thought' is beyond thick fucking idiots like you. I don't give a fuck how detailed it is - what it shows is even managing the biggest club in the world (at the time), who had just won another league title, he still couldn't help being a negative zero ambition forelock tugging cսnt"

Re: Moyes Out
"On 20 April 2014, United lost 2""ì0 at Everton (the first time Everton had beat United home and away in 44 years).[46] Two days later, United announced that they had sacked Moyes.[61] Moyes was in charge of United for 10 months, the third-shortest managerial stint in United history[61] and the shortest in 82 years, despite calls from several respected ex-Manchester United players such as Denis Law[62] and David Beckham[63] calling for Moyes to be given more time at the club.[64] At the time of his sacking, United were seventh in the Premier League table, 13 points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with four matches remaining, ensuring United would fail to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 1995 and finish outside of the top three for the first time in Premier League history.[65] Moyes had won 5 points from a possible 24 against Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal (the top four at the time of sacking).[61] He was replaced in the interim by long-serving player Ryan Giggs and permanently by Louis van Gaal.[66] Moyes was awarded ¬£5 million in compensation following the sacking.[67] Moyes was critiqued for his perceived defeatist attitude while at United. He had referred to their rivals Liverpool as the ""favourites""ù ahead of their trip to Old Trafford (Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers responded ""I would never say that at Liverpool ""ì even if I was bottom of the league""),[68] and on Man United, the defending champions, Moyes stated their city rivals Manchester City were ""at the sort of level we are aspiring to"".[69] Calling the appointment of Moyes Ferguson's second biggest mistake as Man United manager, the Manchester Evening News stated, ""Moyes never sounded or managed like a United manager. United got an Everton manager, Everton coaches, an Everton player and achieved an Everton finish; seventh"".[68]"
