Re: Moyes Out
"it's very hard to do bad enough to get sacked while you have a front 4 who wouldn't look out of place in a champions league team. kudus, bowen and paqueta are all worth the best part of a hundred million quid each and an on form antonio is an absolute menace. if moyes had his way we'd have lingard instead of paqueta, phillips or scott mctominay instead of alvarez and a CB partnership of maguire and zouma getting outrun by the local quadraplegic asthmatics. kudus could've been on the cornet if he wasn't so absolutely fucking mustard that he scored the moment he got on the pitch (didn't get his first start until october). not only has moyes been extremely fortunate to helm talent far beyond his limited idea of football, but he's often worked to actively hinder our progress and it's only through telling him to do one that we have the potential we do. despite these players, we still look like a woefully coached team with no idea how to control a game of football. just one with so much firepower that sometimes it doesn't even matter - atleast until the manager decides to sabotage it."

Re: Moyes Out
"Fucking Moyes Got to Darlington on the train on match day, 90 mins or so before kick off. Train stopped, all trains stopped due to issue with track. Got off and got a taxi (¬£70) to Newcastle. Saw the team set up and performing well until he made that fucking disastrous decision with Antonio and changing formation. Not hindsight, from row W 100 metres from the pitch it was clear we were now forfeiting all possession and would come under unsustainable pressure - just like his decision did versus Villa - the cսnt never ever ever learns. Chaos getting back on the trains. Yesterday was second this second for being livid at the dour Scottish cսnt after the Liverpool QF fiasco. He manages to get it right for 70 minutes and still fuck it up. Absolute fucking idiot."

Re: Moyes Out
"Wanstead, I passed on a rumour I got from someone who is a friend of Warbarton from his City days. They say Downes was a Warbarton recommendation that came in when Warbarton was hired via Sully to help Moyes develop more of an possessionbased approach. Didnt help that Warbartons daughter worked for Downes agency but he was the outstanding Championship DM and highly recommended by Warbarton for 12 million a relatively low fee. It was before Steidten and Moyes eftectively employed passive resistance and bloody mindedness ( as he has with other players he didnt pick ) to any change that impacted his total and absolute control. Didnt play Downes or did out of position in the league. Downes unhappy just wanted to play, Moyes wanted him sold because Downes made his unhappiness in not getting minutes known even in a few comments ( albeit hints) in the media and Moyes wants to make his point that he choses players and not have them imposed on him. Noble and then Steidten didnt want him sold so a loan was the compromise. Downes will be off if Moyes stays though thats for sure. And Warbarton followed Irvine, Pearce, Nevin to quit Moyes back room team as they felt their contributions were minimal ( Moyes not interested and didnt listen to anything they suggested). Btw , I notice Mckinlay is back as Moyes go to man on subs/ changes after a very brief spell of Heitinga being his man to confer with? Moyes is so insecure, never wrong, never listens, never learns. He has his formula of the last 30 years ( fear based football ) and never deviates and really doesnt need a coaching team but instead a set of automatons to implement Moyesball. The upside of Moyesball is that it probably means you survive and avoid serious relegation struggles most seasons even when investment in players is modest or misplaced. Of course we have seen record investment that saw 3 seasons of Euro qualification and a 3rd tier cup success. But left with a 13 or 14 man squad of which half are too old and slow or lacking quality on the ball to remain as regular first 11 players. If he stays, we will likely continue the overall slow slide backwards as I will be truly amazed if we make 8th place or better or beat Leverkusen in a quarter final over 2 legs. If Moyes does his best Houdini act to date though, Steidten and non Moyes recruitment picks isthen our best hope to counter the Moyes effect and one dimensional approach. If he leaves a reset with a new coach aligned to a proper club wide football strategy led by Steidten starts. Might not work or not immediately but surely worth trying? Moyes did a great interim job but was done last season really. The conference win and euphoria of winning something clouded or masked some deep seated problems that remain. Next 3 weeks will imo likely lead to getting knocked out if the Europa and sliding out of Euro qualification spots inthe league which will likely go down to 8th. As mentioned, Moyes needs his biggest Houdini act to date to get out of jail, get Euro football next year and stay at the club. If he fails as I think he will, Sullivan will in recognition of Moyes contribution,( if u step back, last 4 years or so he will be remembered in history as a great job done by Moyes as an interim manager ) allow his departure to be presented as Moyes saying he does not want to take up the renewed contract offer because he prefers not to work as a coach in tandem with a DOF etc. or that hes not sure West Ham is a good fit any longer etc. That will ease the pressure on Sullivan and board as they are not be seen to sack Moyes by the media. Moyes leaves with a restored and strong reputation for another job like Scotland national manager or Celtic etc? A win win all round. Thats my hope anyway. But like I say, we ate about to find out over the next 3 weeks in terms of where we end up and next 3 months we will know if its the end or more of Moyes Much of the above diatribe just opinion, conjecture, rumour. I could be wrong about a lot of it although obviously think thats the way we are headed. As usual, if u made it this far reading my version of ""War and Peace""ù go pour yourself a stiff drink or email me for the local Samaritans number. :-)"

Re: Moyes Out
I really can't see why Moyes seems to love Phillips but hated downes. Downes gave some good service when given the chance and is a hammers supporter. I think downes and Alvarez sitting in front of a truly shit centre half pairing looks a lot safer than pairing Alvarez with soucek or JWP

"LOL, but don't worry i reckon Moyes will be gone come the summer, and i will be as happy about that as anyone on here. In the meantime, i hope we can kick on and win the Europa, but you crack on with your schoolboy conspiracies about all aspects of the club, its owners, management and former player...LOL We will get a new manager but unless they hit the ground running posters like you will soon have another thread to vent on, that or you turn your attentions to other aspects of the club. I have secured tickets for the last home game and if it turns out to be Moyes last then i for one will applaud him, despite the negative stuff he did win the club its first Trophy in 40 odd years. Crack on with the abuse and the made up shit you constantly spout though, some is quite amusing to be fair, real pie in the sky bollocks."

Re: Moyes Out
"You can't send a loan player back in between transfer windows just because he's shit, so it's not even worth discussing the pros and cons of doing that. Only way he might return early would be if he got a long term injury that put him out for the season."

Re: Moyes Out
"Of course, Philips won't get sent back, we fucked up the window and are bare bones already, another couple go down and Philips will be first choice, yes, he's been shit but what alternative would there be? And odds on if he did get sent back, plenty would give Moyes stick for it, damned if he does and dammed if he doesn't by the look if things, so keep the silly haircut and hope it doesn't come to that."

Re: Moyes Out
"Moyes won't send Phillips back early, that would mean him admitting he got it wrong after chasing him for so long. It's the right thing to do but Moyes thinks only about Moyes and not losing face with his media mates, he should be treated how we reacted to the bond scheme along with the owners."

Re: Moyes Out
Ings has never been the right player in our system but he had an excellent 15mins v Burnley so obviously has played about 2 mins since. It was a negative move by Moyes that took any pressure of Newcastle so they could push up and take control. Made the same mistake v Villa which cost us so only an idiot would repeat the dose. I dont blame Phillips ... we shouldnt have touched him with a barge pole after he has sat on his arse for 2 years. He looks like a player who hasnt played for that time and is below basic fitness let alone match fitness. Actually i blame Phillips for being fat and lazy (as Pep realised) Have said before I'd send him back early and give one of our kids games.

Re: Moyes Out
How can he when Moyes continually overlooks him as I detailed earlier. Scraps of minutes or immediately benching him again after making a real impact like against Sheffield United away tells us all we need to know how badly Ings has been treated. Someone who didn't struggle getting up to speed when playing for Villa.

Re: Moyes Out
"Danny Ings has always been a decent reliable Premier League specialist Centre-Forward. Bowen can do a job up top yes but he's really at his devastating best when flying in from the right. Ings, whilst Moyes stupidly flogged Scamacca and Haller before him, is still more than good enough as a double act of vast experience up top when Antonio isn't played to share the workload and keeps our shape and attacking decent. We now have the balance of Bowen right, Kudus on the left, with Paqueta finally in his rightful No. 10 slot, it should now be about Antonio/Ings/Mubama doing their bit to keep that shape there. They are all fit and there's fuck all excuses, although no doubt it's never his fault Moyes will keep trying to finger point elsewhere if saps are gullible enough to believe him.."
Re: Moyes Out
I will say that letting Fornals and Benny go (although I'm ok with them going) without replacing at least one of them is a big problem. Although I don't know enough about what happened as to why we didn't get a replacement in Jan to know who to blame. But that has proven itself to be a big mistake.
Re: Moyes Out
What I find strange is how all of a sudden everybody is calling for Ings to come on. He had a 10 min showing against lowly Burnley and all of a sudden he has gone from being a waste of space to our best option off the bench. Even better than playing Bowen up front ffs. Sorry but I'm not so sure about that.

Re: Moyes Out
"He's half a yard off the pace because he was never that quick in both body or thought when he's playing. And he's had 9 appearances for us already at West Ham. If he can't get up to speed after training regularly with City and now playing and Training reguarly with us whilst avoiding injury this season (only time he's been unavailable foe either side is when he got a red card), then maybe the 2nd Division really is more his level where everything is about as slow as him."

Re: Moyes Out
But Nutsack... how many times has Moyes used this tactic in again we are winning and its worked... Ive not looked but Im guessing its not worked once... did it work against Burnley or Villa ... no... Moyes doesnt learn that his team cant defend even for 20 minutes when you take off our only outlet and push our creative player in to a cul de sac.. he is just stupid if he thinks trying it over and over again is going to work with the players hes got.
Re: Moyes Out
"Coufal committed the exact same foul and gave away a penalty too. Truth is Gordon is lightning quick and Coufal is and always has been a bit slow and Philips is half a yard off the pace still. Personally I think Phillips can play at this level, or he could before Pep got ahold of him, you don't get signed by City if you are not showing something. Newcastle had two attempts before Phillips came on where they should have scored, so making a defensive substitution away from home when you are 3-1 isn't the worst of decisions. Especially when you are getting exposed.I can just imagine the outrage if Moyes hadn't of made any changes. Managers make mistakes like the rest of us, as I have said in my previous post the only way Phillips gets back on the field now is if someone gets injured and if he does he needs to put in a performance of his life if he is to get further consideration. Otherwise I expect him to end up back at Leeds. Onwards and upwards, as they say. Spurs up next I'm sure we will hear from the usual suspects should we lose."

Re: Moyes Out
"Nutsack Newcastle were there for the taking.. they had so many injuries, other teams would go for the jugular, but not Moyes cowardly as ever just like against Burnley and Villa.. this is not the first time hes done it and we are now going to get very few chances to maintain a Euro spot so hopefully this will be the last time we have to witness the Moyes masterclass how to lose a game from a winning position.. but you carry on believing its not a problem as we slip out of sight."
