"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

So much hate for the Jets on here. Yet, like the masters they are, they're 2-1 and putting the Patsies to the sword.

Just thought I'd write that while I get the chance. Thank you.

I will, of course, he back when we're 3-11 and struggling again...

Awesome- cheers! Will give it a go. That is potentially a massive money saver.

Sort of goes to show you doesn’t it that sometimes a ‘failure’ of a QB just needs to be put in the right situation to produce something. I mean it always helps to have a Jefferson to throw to and there’s no guarantee he can keep it up but good luck to him.

so many of the top drafted qbs these days are dropped into horrendous teams with little talent and made the starter right away with the message ‘ok- save us’. It’s no wonder so many of them seem to look like absolute busts. You at least want to have a serviceable offense around you. It’s not really a surprise that the qbs drafted by teams like the packers and Steelers turn out ok as the team around them is always fundamentally decent and well coached, and players who got drafted by the jets or bears or panthers etc (no offence boys) often flame out or look awful and get moved on. Usually to another equally shitty team where it happens again.

Well well well, let's hope that bastard Mr Burns choked on his cornflakes this morning like the niners did last night.

Impossible replacing McCaffrey as were finding out, but can be no excuses as ther were without a couple of star receivers as well.

D is just looking shit, dar too many easy plays given away.

It will make my weekend if the Saints can get the win, and then the Ravens batter those cunts at 9.25

I was impressed with Nabers last week, very elusive and tough too. Took a nasty hit from Luvu and went straight back in once cleared

Rodgers was 27 of 35 for 281 yds last night , not bad for the oldest fella in the league .

I've changed the league to six teams.
If anyone fancies it that would be great - You'd enjoy it Miike.
My fall back was dropping my team so the four of you can duke it out but it won't allow me to do that.
Looks like week four is the earliest kick off as week three starts on Thursday.

Will decide what to do first thing tomorrow.

Grumpster wrote: 15 Sep 2024, 20:55 You know you've played like cunts when you make sam darnold look like a player.

He is dog shit.

Week 5 and McCaffrey's return can't come soon enough.
At least you still turn up on here when you’ve been beaten Grumps, Nutsin won’t be back until you win a game again.

Encouraging start for the Seahawks so far, looking better than I thought we would in what will be a transitional season. Missing three of our starting O line would normally be a certain defeat,  but just about pulled it off against an improving Patriots yesterday. Smith-Njigba is going to be some player.

Beat the smelly fish men next weekend on the road and I’ll consider our start excellent

cough, we had two brilliant DEs during our glory years, Mann & Manley. neither have been honoured by the hall of fame. they couldn't wait to throw a jacket on ray lewis, yet those two are still being ignored thirty years on

I watched an interview not long ago with the redskins hating parasite peter king (a big cheese on the selection committee), he was talking to one of our best beat reporters (john keim) and was asked why joe jacoby was still waiting to be honoured. his answer "Joe, sometimes had a lot of trouble with Lawrence Taylor". who fucking didn't?

The number of false starts was mind-boggling. And way beyond my comprehension of the game - I was wondering if it was something to do with Daniels waiting too long or something.
We're obviously better off with him than Howell, but seeing slightly more sensible play-calling makes me feel even more sorry for Howell.

The manner of the win - all FGs - is pretty funny after the struggles we've had with kickers.

No, nothing to do with Jayden. Schlereth (our ex super bowl lineman) was spot on in  the commentary saying that the giants (and in particular dexter lawrence) were making slight lateral adjustments/shifts prior to the snap and it was unnerving our line. A bit more composure and we could have scored 30+. Monday will be a good test
Dexter Lawrence = Dexter Manley and Lawrence Taylor, that's one heck of a lineman / linebacker.
