I made an effort to educate my boys to respect aliens of all kinds. They are prepared.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (keep it all here please)
Donald Trump’s campaign manager has called Lord Mandelson an “absolute moron” and said he should “stay home” after the Labour peer was announced as the UK’s next ambassador to Washington.Chris LaCivita, who masterminded Mr Trump’s presidential bid earlier this year, hit back at Sir Keir Starmer’s choice for the role, and praised the incumbent, Dame Karen Pierce.“This UK government is special,” he said. “Replace a professional universally respected ambo with an absolute moron - he should stay home ! SAD!”Mr LaCivita made the comments on X, sharing an article by The Telegraph reporting Lord Mandelson’s previous comments about Mr Trump. In an interview with an Italian journalist in 2019, unearthed by this newspaper, the New Labour architect described the president-elect as a “danger to the world” and “little short of a white nationalist and racist”.

No, not a hint or trace of irony there - no wonder the aliens have deemed us unfit for contact.

Why would you not want a hugely successful businessman trying to make government more efficient and therefore saving tax payers money?
He's probably more qualified than most career politicians.

The dangerous cunts in the world are those trying to shut down freedom of speech and lock up grandads who later take their own lives because of it all. Musk is the opposite of that trying to keep freedom of speech alive and well. Starmer is a world leader (loose term) who is the one with blood on his hands what with also making grandparents freeze up and down the land.

Nope, me neither..
And getting back to Musk's dangerous ways, I see he actually offers no tangible threats. Not 1 fucking thing.

Think he’ll probably wreak the US’s relations with any neighbours or partners who, as sovereign democracies, choose to act in their public’s interest to limit demands or frustrate his plans. Not much of a think either, though clearly too much of a think for you.

We've established he has all this influential power but what dangerous things will he be doing precisely? Programming all autonomous cyber trucks to run over the elderly, or aim 1 of his space rockets at Putins bedroom? What dangerous things will he be doing that will be a threat to society?

Re: The Official Politics Thread (keep it all here please)
It is in itself a dangerous thing that Musk has so much leverage over the most powerful elected office on the planet. Sorry if this sounds over dramatic but it seems you have to have this drawn for you in large colourful letters.

How so?
Re: The Official Politics Thread (keep it all here please)
Trump won the election because the American voters consider him capable of managing economic and immigrant issues better than Harris.
Had Musk not been such high profile Trump would still have won. And to think that Musk bought the election is a mistake it’s Trump that Musk has bought, a much more useful purchase.

Course he did Tex.
Even though the Harris campaign spent nearly three times more than Trumps. That straw you're clinging to is so short it may as well not exist, get over your TDS.
Exactly. More Billionaires funded the dems, but suddenly Elon Musk is a problem - Nothing to do with the morons they had running, and their policies. Oh no.
