I did manage to watch the game in a quiet locals bar, but that's me done watching us abroad. Never seen us win when watching us overseas, so I consider myself bad luck and am retiring from it.

No idea. But I did go to Upton Park on a freezing winter night back in 1970 to watch us play a friendly against Slovan Bratislava. My only memory of that night is that it was fucking cold and I resented my old man for dragging me over there.

Was there a couple of years ago, nice place, but not an area with loads of bars showing football, particularly 3pm games. There's an Irish pub there, think it's called O'Malley's, probably your best bet pal.

I bet it's fucking cold there.
