Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

The embarrassment is that it wasn't 55 million pounds, it wasn't even 55 million euros.

It was close to 55 million dollars for those who can do the math.

Time for Sullivan to go.

I guess I do because it would mean Sullivan has to pony up the cash.
Maybe because we don’t own the stadium.

Coupled with the fact we have little money available we’re gonna be competing with the likes of Leeds and Wolves for signatures.

What a mess, let’s hope there’s some real prem talent available in the lower leagues, otherwise we are in for another long, miserable season.

Kudus is worth more than $55 mill to us right now. Shocking decision to sell.

We haven’t hit rock bottom yet I fear.

Nutsin, you are an utter helmet, but I agree with you on this. If we're looking to sell players with value to fund "young, energetic players" then why have we just sold the only player who is both energetic and young? If it was for silly money then yep, it works as we could have bought two players, but it wasn't, it was for basically nothing with this bank loan nonsense now being touted, so as a player just as you said, he's worth in excess of £80million to us, otherwise we should have kept him as both a player and as a financially growing asset. Even if that meant selling the older Bowen to fund these mystery energetic youngsters, none of whom we seem to be after.

Gibbs-White is a very good player
Just the sort we need if we weren’t run by cunts

If we are seriously looking at Callum Wilson we have gone beyond parody. I guess he could keep Antonio company in the treatment room in their matching wheelchairs

He'll be 34 before the seasons out.

In 18 Prem League appearances last season (injured for 20) he scored an impressive 0 goals and 0 assists.

Brownhill is a steady Eddie, he’s hardly better than what we have. He might be more committed, but he’s not a game changer. In fact I’d see him as being in the space of one then youth.

Newcastle allowing Wilson to run his contract down to me says they didn’t need him because he’s well past his prime. The only positive to him playing for us is that he can’t score against us. Maybe the thinking is him and his best mate Antonio will lead the line in the fucked up and injured front line.

I have no opinion of Diouf as I’ve never heard of him.
