Agreed its the same when we'd give India a whole load of aid for their health and education while India spend billions on their space agency and nuclear missiles. We've started to move away from that with a focus more on private finance investments.

Do you agree that getting men out of women's sport is a good thing?
Agreed
Do you agree that securing the Southern border in the USA is a good thing?
Agreed - however wasnt it Biden who tried to get a bi partisan border security bill thru that the Republicans voted out. Context is everything and Trump saw the issue as an election winner. No good if the problem was already solved.
Do you agree that people will no longer be taxed on their tips they receive at work is a good thing.
Agreed - however the pennies saved pale in comparison to the billions the rich will save via the big ugly bill and the cost for those falling off medicaid eligibility.
Do you agree that DOGE have done a good job, saving the American tax payer millions in needless expenditure?
No I cant say theyve done that much. By all accounts promising $2tn savings and getting nowhere near and spending an absolute fortune. Will be interesting to see what they spent and what they saved. None of it was fraud as it was all voted for by congress.
That'll do for a start, feel free to highlight any failures by the Trump govnmt since Jan, there's obviously been a couple.
Tarrifs are his one trick and are a joke. The guy is a flat track bully put him at the head of any other country and he wouldn't have a chance. He has no clue about the histiry of how tarrifs were used and their impact. How effective they were we will only know once its all settled down but dont bank on it being positive it might make the deficits worse yet.
Markets manipulated by him and his cronies are profiting. Not a good look at the very least. Inflation promises are yet to be impacted by his tarrifs but could well be a lot worse to come rather than the promised "end" of inflation.
Unlawfully Commercialising the Presidency with the watch, phone etc is a disgrace. But then without thise funds his own business would go bust by all accounts.
No peace as promised in Ukraine. Im glad he's finally realised Putin is not to be trusted but jeez how dumb was he to think he could.
Trump should come down harder on Netanyahu - 50k dead is just horrific but Trump could encourage him to stop if he wanted to.
His promise to rid America of gangs, rapists and murderers was a good one. However turning his attention to "illegals" as criminals so quickly and publicly rounding them up on the streets and at work is not what the public were expecting and smacks of a nazi police state.
I could go on.
But nice to have an intelligent exchange rather than Nutsack going all MAGA!
We both agree individual states have their biases. Hiwever you fail to agree that the nationwide polls that overlook the state biases show that he's underwater across the board. Even if you found a nationwide poll that showed him above water his numbers are still slipping.

Come on, put your TDS to one side for a second and reply honestly or not at all.
Done because you lost the argument
Im unsure of your point as I dont live in a US city? But if you explain what you mean maybe I can understand this particular argument.

Florida is among 27 states where Trump has received a net positive approval rating. His best ranking is in Wyoming, where 67% of voters approve of his performance, Morning Consult data shows. His worst ranking is in Vermont, where 64% disapprove of how he is handling his job.
State based polls are clearly going to show the extremes based on the voting of those states. All the nationwide average polls see him negative I believe.

Find a nationwide poll that shows him positive you wont be able to so give it up!

Sorry to keep to you waiting, I've had my grandson here but rest assured, next time he asks for a sleepover,I'll put him off as i have to stay glued to my phone all weekend in case you need a reply.
OK, well the example you posted is from a solid blue state which of course is going to be anti red, regardless who the leader is and the reverse is true.
The long and short of it is that Trump got elected because the alternative was unthinkable. The dems continue to be a train wreck and Trump can be as unlikeable as you want, he's still a better choice than his last opponent.
Yep the Dems are a train wreck. They should be out there debunking Trumps bullshit and defending the US people from his authoritarian rule!
Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Im not a fan of Trump but that is a typical...ohh he's a nonce cos l ain't got a reasonable sensible constructive argument...pathetic
Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
I will say this Epstein file debacle does not sit well with me. These Docs need to be released, I am not buying the bollocks Bondi is selling.
I trust Bongino to do the right thing, I believe he is a stand up guy. But this is a big fucking problem and Trump trying to sweep it under the rug and dismiss the kids/ victims is a big betrayal. Get it all out in the open ffs! It’s the right thing to do.

You're wasting your time. Trump could end all wars, cure cancer and score the winner in a cup final for West Ham and still there are some who won't let themselves see through their own bitterness to give him an ounce of credit.
Goes both ways Billy mate. People on both sides of that argument are guilty of the same thing.
Not really. Those on the right are far more likely to think political opponents are fundamentally decent people than thosee on the left.

America forces its voters face some truly unsavory political choices!
Amazing .... No smoke without fire!
So many things wrong with Trump but his band of merrymen follow along like sheep!
Trumps administration is the least qualified and full of yes men and women. You lot just sucking it up!

This is how sick and twisted those on the left are that some soppy cսnt CBS reporter couldn't even resist the opportunity to have a day off from their agenda driven guff going at it like an attack dog during a time of intense grief...
Now if there is a modicum of truth in what she claims - everything so far points to it being the opposite due the response - that line of questioning just wasn't the time or place to blurt it out so soon after the event where they are still sifting through much of the devastating wreckage for bodies.
Typical pyschotic TDS on display for all to see.
It was this DEI picked fat mess reporting for what it's worth. Look how intrusive she is so to try and get an EXCLUSIVE by showing the viewers personal belongings like someone's ID and a potential body on the otherside of the rubble..

The Hunter Biden laptop story is another story that didn't happen I guess. And I guess the FBI didn't get FB to suppress that story as it may have affected sleepy Joe's election prospects. Only Zuckerberg admitted last year that the feds did lean on him to kill the story.
The left wing media were all pushing the Russian election interference bollox which was proved to be a non story, the list is endless.
I'm no fan of Trump but he was democratically elected and he is still doing well in the polls over there so he must be doing something right. I do enjoy the state his opponents get themselves into, its all marvellously entertaining, bit like over here when all the usual suspects strat screaming 'far right' at anyone who speaks favourably about Reform/Farage.Trouble is there is no truth you believe everything you are told. That word salad pales in to insignificance compared to whenever dopey Donald opens his tiny mouth!
You think he's a great politician? He's a one trick pony who will be found out!
It's amazing how quickly you can order a cսnt and get it delivered just by saying "Trump".

I know, I just like to occasionally point out reality to the captured minds of the easily brainwashed when it's blatantly obvious anyway.
