May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Don't focus so much on the opposition which is often shit in Pre Season. It's the fact that out of the 9 goals, he manages to score 4, assist 1 in his Debut game in Italy. He couldn't do any better than make that 1st impression. I'm sure Potter was 100% right to overlook him the way he did though for half a season mainly kicking his heels on the Bench.

Wilson’s agent, Will Salthouse, has a close relationship with David Sullivan and approached the Hammers owner over a move for the free agent.

He is set to become the Hammers’ third signing of the summer following the arrivals of midfielder El Hadji Malick Diouf and Kyle Walker-Peters.

The problem with Wilson is that it's a lose-lose signing for us.

If he stays fit and scores goals and we finish top half of the table as a result, then fair play to him and good for us next season.  But on the flip-side Sullivan will think that it justifies his decision.  In which case he'll just continue to undermine whatever manager is working for him because he's the transfer guru and soon enough we're back to square one with an ageing, unfit, unsuitable squad of misfits once again.

If he get's injured or for whatever reason it doesn't work out, Sullivan will not consider it a failure of his own doing.  It will be blamed on the manager or the player and as a result it fucks up West Ham, messes with the managers transfer plans, and makes it even harder for us to achieve any kind of success.

Looks like Albian Hadjari is incoming in next 24 hours. Not sure he is ready for first team but at deal worth up to £5m for one of Europe's up and coming young defenders it doesn't seem a bad deal. 

On Wilson - Well, what can you say, it has gone quiet now and that may be down to social media uproar.... Who knows? But if any potential transfer summed it Sullivan this is it. An ageing, injury prone, low scoring striker - But he's free. I am glad Sullivan has been made to look a fool here. You can just see how disconnected and incompetent he is. Driven by a bargain and a risk rather than a sensible and sustainable policy that benefits the club. 

Callum Wilson said yesterday that at 33 he still has loads to offer and he feels fit and focussed and ready to play. That may be so. But history tells a different story. Why should West Ham be used as an experimental platform for a player to prove himself? And that's how Sullivan see's West Ham. A club with no respect and dignity. 


 

Yes, Sullivan's only kryptonite is being made to look stupid in public. That's all he cares about. More than the football club immeasurably. So maybe hopefully some of the backlash over this has had an effect.

So it seems Aguerd is definitely staying given he’s changed from shirt number 27 to 5. Surely you wouldn’t bother if you were leaving?

Didn't JWP change shirt numbers last season and Chicharito got the 9 before he left? 

He's still up for sale at the right price surely, but nobody wants to pay it.
