The tv stations via the removal of Colbert & Kimmel are caving to Trump to protect their businesses 
So we end up with a government controlled media & any social media criticism of Kirk (mostly quoting his own words) sees JD Vance trying to get you sacked & other conservatives calling for a lifetime social media ban

By the way what did Kimmel say that was lies or tasteless?
Appeared mostly to mock Trump for wandering off to tell us about his ballroom when asked about Kirk

Its been over a week since CK was murdered and as far as I know, no Cities have been burnt to the ground, no one has been killed in acts of revenge and billions of dollars in damage hasn't been amassed as a result of Kirks murder.

So I am against the idea that a government should be calling for Kimmel being taken off the air. The FCC head had some valid points under the law but I don't think they should exercise that power.


All that said, I think ABC played a blinder here.
They had a failing show, they suspended it and got a government to take almost every bit of blame. 
If this generates a sympathy bump in interest (stick it to Trump), they can always bring Kimmel back and look like heroes to his target audience.  

 

 

Not sure ABC have played a blinder here, as there seems to be a growing call to boycott a Disney corporation that alienated the right long ago, by the very people they have pandered to doing so.

It's also just ramped up the rhetoric against the right that was partly responsible for Charlie Kirk's death in the first place.

It really is bizarre that the left have celebrated Kirk's death, then blamed Trump for it, and when Kimmel is taken off air for saying as much, they make Kimmel the martyr for free speech and go right back to aggressively trying to cancel Trump and his supporters because meh fascism and hate.

At this point in time the Democrats are pro human trafficking, pro drugs, pro crime, and pro homelessness. There isn't a terror organisation in the world that could inflict that much damage on America. But somehow they have out done themselves by having one of THEIR own kill a guy and make themselves the victims.
