Re: Nuno Out
———————- Areola
AWB. Todibo ( Greek is injured ) Kilman Diouf / KWP
———. Potts ——- Magassa ——— Paqueta
————— Fernandes ————————-
Bowen —————————— Summerville
Thats our best 11 - 13 in terms of athleticism, pace and strength !!! And the bar is set fairly low in that respect.
Impact subs Soucek, Wilson and Marshall although he would be tail end of games at best. Thats it. might be wirth pulling the young lafs Kante and Fearon into the squad for minutes. They are strong and Fearon quick?
Tactics will need to be low block, keep compact with 3 always in the midfield and sometimes 4 looking for fast counters to score. Moyesball with real discipline keepingbtge shape and if you dont run u dont play. Then hope we scrape a few points before Jan and then somehow make 3 signings, striker, centre mid ( Bissouma for me ) and a CB the whole spine of the team.
unlikely all this happens hence relegation seems to be odds on ?

Re: Nuno Out
I take it no one from Sky or post match from the press invited Nuno to talk us through not using his two full backs & swapping their replacements to the wrong side?
Re: Nuno Out
No one can defend or understand that selection, but we have a truly dreadful squad. Of that there can be no debate.
With Nuno, the real worry is that performances have got progressively worse. That cant be right and isn't acceptable. Leeds is huge from that perspective alone

Did he think we could roll Brentford and then play out best team Friday? Did he think he would win with that side and get labelled a master of squad utilisation?
Whatever he thought, he royally fucked it and he has to take accountability for it. I am prepared to forgive him as he is still settling in.... But, fuck me, he pulls another stunt like that and he will not make the ground up with alot of fans.
Fucking tragic line up was almost as bad as the performance.
There was actually people on here defending that line up saying what do you expect?
It’s truly shocking how clueless some of our own fans really are

Re: Nuno Out
Agreed. The team selection last night was almost a stackable offence. He needs a big bounce back against Leeds on Friday and to pick our strongest team, none of the bollocks we saw last night.

He needs to walk for that alone.
Puts that XI out and then blames the support? cսnt.has he gone there already? clearly not long for this job
Not overtly. He said the atmosphere made the players nervous and anxious, so read into that what you will. He did also say it's on him and the players to give the crowd something to be loud about, which is more than Potter ever said, i think. It was a very weird environment in which to play a first home game. I hope they give us something to get behind during the first few minutes of the Newcastle game, because if they do we will give it to them in spades.

Re: Nuno Out
The one thing I hope he does that Potter never seemed to is to LEARN from this and not do anything 'clever' like it again.
Play all our best players, in their best positions, within the framework of a recognised formation. It doesn't need to be more complex than that.
All our strikers are shit? Yes it's a shitty hand but it's the one dealt. Our worst striker is probably a better striker than the next best player who isn't a striker- who is also likely to be the best at THEIR position- so by moving them you weaken two positions at the same time.
Case in point last night on top of us not being a very good team to begin with, we voluntarily weakened striker, central midfield and full backs by not playing one of our strikers from the start, taking arguably our best (of a poor bunch) CM away from that position to fill the hole up front, and bizarrely weakening both full back positions by switching flanks. He could at least have switched Scarles and KWP to their correct sides, or if the switch was to get KWP on a certain player or vice versa to shield Scarles from someone, then surely just if you're oging to put KWP on the left, put AWB on the right, or if you're putting Scarles on the right put Diuof or AWB (who we know can at least deputise there) on the left. I really want to hear the explanation for what he did with the full backs but I expect we never will. He's certainly not going to explain it in a press conference if asked.

Last night he played our backup LB at RB and our backup RB at LB. Two of the slowest (and that's f-cking slow considering all of our midfield) non creative midfielders who can't get around the pitch in midfield. Just an appalling starting XI and people wonder why we played shit. He then changed 3 of the back 4 at half time, by that time the already terrible morale was through the floor and I think we changed to a 532, I guess again confusing the players and changing the shape after 2 weeks of training trying to coach 4 across the back. Then we need a goal and he keeps Calum Wilson on the bench. The man is a complete fool and the defeat and performance was 100% on him last night.
Don’t forget he chose to hook Fernandes at half time and left Soucek and Irving on the pitch as well
100% the worst managerial display I’ve ever seen in my life
I was actually happy with the bloke up until last night, I think his team selections from the first two games were correct, but then he’s decided the best way to win games is playing with no striker, slow midfielders and defenders playing in the wrong position
What a genius

Re: Nuno Out
I'd stick Soucek at centre back, I know it's not his usual position but needs must. Kilman and Todibo aren't good enough and Mav looked like he will be out for a while. Stick three of Paqueta, Fernandes, Magassa and Potts in midfield. A minimum of three are needed in there as I said last night. Two gets over run and last nights one certainly did! Bowen right, Jimmy left and stick Callum Wilson up top. From what I've seen Marshall isn't a lone central striker in a struggling side. Wan Bissaka right and Diouf left full backs. Wan Bissaka is a full back not a wing back and one of the three central midfielders sits when either he or Diouf gets forward. Basics.

Re: Nuno Out
Managers and Agents continue to have Sullivan over a barrel in his times of desperation awarding Nuno with a 3 year contract after awarding Potter with a 2 and a half year contract just 6 months earlier. And this cսnt thinks he SAVES money by not paying out compo for a quality one that'll last. Emery, De Zerbi and the like were ones we should have gone for had we been prepared to show proper ambition. Villa and Marseilles gain as we only ever shop in the discount bin for out of work Managers, but still end up paying through the nose for them once their lucrative contracts need paying up anyway.
It's always short-termism fixes rather than plan properly for the long-term creating a long lasting stability at the Club. Eventually though that shit finally catches up with you..
It's thick Football economics from our slug of a Chairman.

Re: Nuno Out
Fabianski
Wan-Bissaka Igor Kilman Diouf
Potts Soucek
Bowen Paqueta Summerville
Wilson
That's what I'd go with next game against Leeds. Avoid square pegs in round holes.

Re: Nuno Out
We have a bang average squad. Nuno played a 4-3-3 counter attacking but 4-1-4-1 in defence at Forest.
This is the best XI that I can fathom from what he has to work with...Letting Edson leave for Turkey looks an even more stupid decision now than it was at the time. Piss Potter logic.
Areola
Wan Bissaka Mavro Kilman Diouf
Fernandes Soucek Paqueta
Bowen Wilson Summerville
Our second XI don't look too clever
Fabianski
KWP Todibo Igor Jesus Scarles
Magassa Guido Potts
Marshall Fullkrug Guillerme
Herman Hermits, JWP and Irving are superfluous to me

Re: Nuno Out
We’re 100% going down
but what gets the fuck up my nose about that more than anything is I don’t know if we would’ve if we’d of hired a manager for the third time in a row that picks our strongest players, plays them in the correct position and plays to our strengths
that dirty little Welsh cսnt who deserves a stroke keeps playing the cheap option and not once in any of his interviews does he ask them what their strategy is cos he’s not used to interviewing people that he doesn’t want to fuck

Re: Nuno Out
The first alarm bell that went off for me was agreeing to work with our hastily knocked up together Academy Staff upon arrival whilst enjoying a nice fat contract of his own. Tonight's 'effort' was the 2nd alarm going off.

Is his heart all that in it, or is it more about the easy money gig he was really attracted too whilst still seething about losing his Forest job? Sort it out, Nuno.
