Thing is we don't always buy cheap, both relegated players Fernandes cost £42M and Hermansen our back up Keeper cost £20M. 

Appalling value for money... because he always leaves it to the last possible moment in the window to do something.

Get players in early around June then you don't have to be bent over and shafted for more money at the end of August.

He must foolishly believe the amount saved in wages is worthwhile yet it always gets eaten up to vastly overpay for players so late in the day. The selling club asks for more and so does the agent in wages for the player as they sense desperation so it makes very little economic sense at all 

Yet it keeps happening over and over and over again. FFS!

Finley Herrick got recalled from Boremwood yesterday. Was doing really well there, 10 games 7 clean sheets and 5 goals conceded.  Doesn't make sense to recall him unless Nuno is planning to throw him in. 

Casey also started for Swansea against City last night and their fans are waxing lyrical about him.  Rumours that Mayers has been training with the first team squad so I wonder if Casey might be in line for a recall aswell. 

Kante and Landers in the dev squad also signed new long term deals this week, interesting.......sign of intent of preparing for the Championship?

Other than last night Casey hasnt really played. I think he has about 12 mins playing time.

Yes I was surprised by that. But their fans last night were absolutely raving about him. One even said it was like same as Guehi who they had on loan a few years back. 

Hopefully he gets a run of games now till Jan and then we can recall him. Or the Swansea manager will know this and start playing him Feb onwards.... 

Either way such is the state of us can he be worst than the current two?  Even if he is at least there might be more fight and the possibility of him learning and improving. Plus at the moment he is the most likely CB to be here come next season

Casey going on loan, when we were planning on playing 3 at the back under Potter, was really baffling.

We had 4 shit centre backs, to cover 3 positions.  Potter was an idiot.

Casey does need a solid season or two in the championship.

Maybe that's the plan...chance would be a fine thing to actually have one of those

Going by what happened with Scarles, he'd play Herrick as a No.9, Mayers as a No. 10, Casey left wing, Kante Centre Half with Landers in goal.

I wonder if Sullivan has ever questioned him on that also when they've been in bed together?

Maybe he thinks Salthouse is a mate when really he just sees him as a complete mug that he can use to offload all his hard to shift shit onto while his better players go elsewhere.

If you look at the Unique sports agency roster (it's on Transfermarkt.com) the list of Salthouse clients isn't all bad there are some half decent players there that could've ended up at our place. Given that the club is supposed to be on preferential terms with them.

Lacroix - Palace defender
Thiaw - Newcastle defender
Koussonu - Atalanta 

These players have all been linked with us at various times so what happens that results in our meddling owner signing Kilman and Todibo when there was far better out there who are more than decent for their current clubs. Who all play in European competition.

So how do we end up with such shite?

We could've had Lacroix and Thiaw as our central defenders as we were linked with them for months but we ended up with Kilman and Todibo.

The first two 2 cost £43 million between them.

Our 2 cost £75 million between them.

The “writing has been on the wall” imo since 2023 when the league form started falling away and Moyes said he only wanted a small squad (15) and many of those were aging. The Conf cup win, as great as it was for that one night, in many ways was the worst thing that happened to a club like ours with tye owner we have. The league form was ignored and Sullivan was too busy patting himself on the back, drunk with the success of a trophy and salivating about the thought of getting a £100 million for Rice. So much so he sold him the day after the win!!! . The departure of Rice was though the event that triggered the rapid decline that has ultimately led to where we are now. Moyes lucked out inheriting Rice. The 3 managerial and other technical football appointments like Hussilos, Newman, Steidten, Macaulay all uncoordinated, reactionary moves of a clueless owner without a strategy or plan.  Good  recruitment of managers and players have arrested the decline but for the aforementioned reasons ( no plan or infrastructure ) has actually made things worse.

Who would have thought that with almost a quarter of the season gone we would be 6 points adrift of Burnley, 7 points from Leeds and 13 points from Sunderland. Beggars belief, well that's not true is it. The writing was on the wall from last season, through the transfer window to Potters sacking and now Nuno's inexplicable team selections. There are not 3 worse teams than us in the division, ipso facto, habeus corpus, donnay de douche we are going dahn. The most galling fact is teams with attendances of 11,000(Bournemouth), 17,000(Brentford) 25,000(Palace) and 31,000(Brighton) all give lie to the fact of why we had to leave Upton Park(35,000) in the first fucking first place.

See why this is such a vulnerable place to be when we cannot rely at all on our home turf when faced with the prospect of a relegation battle? So many Clubs have a huge advantage over us now. Our Home 'form' since the move has been pitiful. Great work BS.

Sunderland have 17 points already.  Unless something changes drastically i dont see us getting that over thr whole season.  More likely we're going for the record derby set 

I'd already factored in Sunderland staying up a few games ago winning at Forest as they looked the part. Burnley and Leeds and 1 other was my thinking of Teams going down instead of us but now Leeds beat us with ease creating a significant gap already we are in real trouble. That's why I was so keen for us not to lose to either Brentford and Leeds and to pick up at least a point from both. So what does numpty do, play silly buggers with the line-ups and shit substitutions.
