Lively player but I'm getting concerned with his lack of end product. I'm convinced Nuno observed the same last evening which is why he hooked him.

He seems like a poor man's Kudus and more like a Benrahma type player with the promise but lack of end product. If he showed more composure last evening he could have got at least one assist.

I've been a supporter of Summerville since we signed him but I hope the Championship doesn't prove to be his level.

I readily admit I was a fan of Summerville last season, but I have changed my opinion as I have recognised he has no end product in the Premier League. One goal in 27 Premier League appearances for us attests to that.

I think Guilherme eventually will come good, whether that's with us or another club.

It wasn't a great buy from us though.  We weren't in the position to spend £25m on a back up to Bowen (especially when we had Kudus at the time who would have played there over him), when we had other first team positions that needed replacing.

Yeah sure, and he's still only 19 so probably doesn't have to be playing regularly at this stage. It might be a bit of a confidence killer if when he does play it's mostly in a position he's not comfortable in (assuming that's the case).

Just how back must Guillherme be to not be deemed good enough to replace this Championship level player.

Guilherme is left footed and mainly played as a right winger at his previous club, so I wonder if he's just not suited to playing on the left, same as Kudus wasn't. With Bowen playing 90 mins of every game he's not going to get much opportunity to play in his favoured position.

He's a kid with one the best right-wingers in Europe to learn from, so hopefully he does and we have a gem on our hands.

It's the usual tactic from COYI, as soon as a new manager/player joins up he says how bad they will be knowing that at some stage they will go through a difficult period. He then will happily tell you that he told you so. You never hear from him when the player is doing well though.

I don't sense that he is a Spurs fan but he is an absolute twat of a poster.

COYI has doubled down on his on the face of it reasonable introductory post and has reverted to moronic type.

Summerville's was the run early on that led to Bowen's shot against the post. His was the cross after another run that was flapped at by Pope which led to Paqueta's goal. His was the run that led to the foul and booking for Guimaraes from which Paqueta hit the post after an excellent save by Pope, and his was the steal of possession in the Newcastle area that ultimately led to Potts' disallowed goal. 

He's a very long way away from being our main problem

We can't as the other £25M wasteful signing Guilherme continues to struggle making an impression. If it carries on I'd want him sold next summer. 2 seasons of much of the same already with little end product then I'm out. 

I bear no ill feeling towards Guilherme at all. I hope he reaches some level of usefulness but I won't be holding my breath.

Palmeiras had a handful of talented youngsters come through the academy who have been already been poached by Chelsea and Real Madrid amongst others and have a couple more catching the eye.

I hope that I've got this totally wrong but it may well come to pass that our club went and bought the satsuma wrapped in brightly coloured tissue paper

In fairness to Guilherme, he was mostly only a sub for Palmeiras, and whilst recognised for having much potential, had a huge amount of development still to do.  Had only scored one senior goal I believe.

We massively overpaid, but they were in a strong position based on the sales going on of the other two and his value was inflated by association.

He was always a player 2 or 3 seasons away with good development for being 'ready'...and should really have been on loan somewhere this season playing every week.  Trouble is we're not a club that can drop 20m of budget on a development player.

I like to see how he develops if he can get a bit of momentum, a few goals/assists in a a short spell. A run like that could be the making of him.

I'd put Paqueta on the left and bring Soucek into the middle of the park alongside Fernandez and Potts.

That would strengthen us. Summerville is out of his depth in the Premier League. Championship player.

We really don't have a viable alternative as we're so short in quality throughout the squad.
Personally, I'd persevere with him. He's one of the few that at least try's to make something happen, a bit of pace going forward. Reckon it'll come good for him sooner rather than later.

100% persevere with him till the end of the season then evaluate the situation then.

He had a knack of scoring for Leeds, so maybe needs a run of games to find goals. He's also one of the only players who is able to take on players and has pace. For me he has to start every game.

I actually think he's much better coming on in games at this stage, he tired a bit yesterday and it really told, but when he comes on when defences are tiring he is very hard to stop, and gives our attack a different dimension.

Problem is we have absolutely no alternative on either flank, so he has to start. He has lacked end product, but maybe getting that first goal will set him off on a run of contributions, especially if we can keep up the team performances to yesterday's standards it'll give him more opportunity.

I also think there's something in that he is a real danger when he comes on fresh against tired players. It showed greatly in the Forest match how well it can work. If we can just coax that end product out of him when he starts then he'll be a quality asset to have. Without much of it then all we have is a head down merchant that occasionally wins fouls offering little else to tangibly latch on too. Hopefully Nuno can get more out of him.

but also more importantly, one of our only wingers with guilherme seemingly not favoured by any manager he has been under since joining us

He’s one of the players who gets me out of my seat. I love watching him glide past players. Yes, he needs to improve his final ball, but today he was a coat of paint away from an assist, and won a free kick in a dangerous area.
