Re: Weekend football
The keeper had a clear view of the ball all the time after Van Dijk headed it and wasn’t reaching it
To be honest given Robertson was 2yds from goal and as the corner came in he was trying to obstruct the keeper from coming out I don’t mind it being ruled out
Was less clear than that one a couple of years ago at Wolves when their offside player stayed in front of Fabianski when some bloke called Kilman headed in what he thought was a last minute equaliser

Re: Weekend football
If you have to duck in order for the ball to go into the net you are definitely interfering with play! I can’t believe that’s in debate.
The very fact that the keeper could not track the ball with his eyes all the way to the goal because an offside Robertson was in front of the ball at a crucial point is the reason it’s disallowed.
doesn’t matter if the keeper may or may not have reached the ball, he can’t see it fully cos Robertson is in the way.

Re: Weekend football
No he wasnt
He was standing in a line just inside the post where the ball went in
Keeper saw the ball clearly & despite a full length dive got nowhere near it. Or near Robertson

Was he influencing the goalkeepers vision of the ball or stopping the keeper saving it? No
But as the old saying goes if he isn’t influencing play why is he on the pitch
Quite happy to see any Liverpool goal disallowed
Hopefully Man City can get a run together & put Arsenal second again.
Dont be surprised to see Klopp back at Liverpool next season
Don't know what you were watching Robertson was directly in front of the keeper so he was OFFSIDE.

I hope Newcastle go down.

Re: Weekend football
It's funny how that fat Liverpool cսnt Sammy Lee wasn't offside because he was lying down against us in the league cup final. Now the boots on the other foot and they start crying, fuck 'em, hate the cunts.

Jota & Diaz are big misses. Talented players who worked hard to let Salah loaf upfield
City keeper wasn’t getting Van Dijks header but Robertson had to duck under it so his proximity could be argued as a distraction
Though it really wasn’t.
He was offside.
Pundits saying the keeper wouldn't have got it so it should have stood.
Bizarre thing to say mind you it was Michael Owen.

Re: Weekend football
Newcastle lose away again 3-1. I thought they would struggle this season when I saw how poor they were on the opening day.
I think Howe is bang in trouble now. Could they get sucked into a relegation battle? I hope so.

Re: Weekend football
Two poor sides going at it at the City Ground.
Currently 1-1.
Still not forgiven Nuno for that selection at Leeds. That would’ve been a comfortable win with a decent lineup.

Re: Weekend football
It IS poor form given Boro gave him a chance after it went pear shaped at Luton
Presumably has connections at Wolves
I have been to Wolverhampton and it IS closer to civilisation than Middlesbrough

Why?
Money
Former Wolves player so has a connection to the club
Would prefer to live in Wolverhampton rather than chemical dump Middlesbrough
Will do well to beat the tally he took Luton down with
Wolves trying a model of selling all their best players over the years …. Neves Neto Jimenez Cunha AltNouri etc etc
There is only one result when you do that
Have you ever been to Wolverhampton?
It’s really poor form having only joined Middlesbrough in the summer.

And to top it off Arteta didn't get manager of the month for October, it went to Amorim! As i pointed out to them, its a real bummer when the "big clubs" win these things when all can see how unjustified it is!
Can you ask them why their fans don't have any songs? Only seem to sing generic chants you'd find in Roy of the Rovers.

I don't get why Edwards would leave a team with a decent chance of promotion to manage a team who look certain for relegation.
Neither do I apart from money.
