Yeah - When you take Reni, Mani and Squire - You have arguably got 3 of the best musicians ever out of the UK. Ian Brown's singing voice not so top notch - But his voice was very distinct and as, a front man, he had enough swagger for about 20 front men. Plus, he penned all the lyrics with Squire writing the music to match.

All in all, a formidable band.

Chinky - Ithink Reni is also an excellent drummer. Musical talent wise, Ian Brown is probably the weak link, or is that the missing link? Anyway, he made up for it with Riz, as the kids today would say.

Terrible news. One of my favourite bands. Mani was a top bloke and an amazing bass player. His bass on Fool's Gold is just simply a masterclass.

RIP fella.

I was out on the piss yesterday, so I didn't see this until this morning.

I am totally shocked. I don't do all this grief tourism malarkey normally but this has hit me hard for some reason.

One of my favourite bands ever. Mani is a fucking legend. At least he gets to reunite with this wife who sadly passed away a couple of years ago.

Luckily, I got to see the Stone Roses live 5 times, including being at Heaton Park for this. Mani at his finest along with John Squire - possibly one of the greatest guitarists ever, in my opinion.......

That's sad. He was a decent player back in the day when Manchester United last won the league under Ferguson.

I saw some old news piece on YouTube a while back about the Ferry Incident between us and Man United, and he was there was there.

Loved the SR, seemed like a nice bloke and now he’s playing in the big band in the sky. Rest in Peace, Mani.

Tak.

Yea, he always came across as a likeable down to earth bloke. I spend a fair bit of time up North these days and hear so much positivity spoken about him when his name comes up.
