Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Well seems like with all these international breaks, and us languishing, the rumours of ins and outs are rife.

He's a character and a fun guy to follow, not that that should enter into it. But was instrumental in winning his club side their first Belgian title in 100 and so years. Some good video of him after that.
Just scored in the Champions League, incidently.
Edit: And subbed off (as per normal).

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
He's big and strong as you would suspect at 6'5" and a very suspect (low) 200 lbs. But has really good pace for someone that size. He can finish and takes penalties for his Belgian team.
Couple concerns, he really has never trained to be a hold up man, so even at 24 years old, he is not great with his control or passing out of a pivot. Though some improvment there recently. He also rarely goes 90' for club or country and looks gassed beyond 45' a lot of the time.

Earthy looks a good player.
I suspect we'll target more pace though - the obvious two and two target sounds like it's Traore at Fulham. Played for Nuno at Wolves, a sort of mash up of Antonio and Kudus and most importantly, very likely to be cheap and available.
Some rumours about some fella called Promise David too - one of those gigantic strikers that seem to do well in Belgium.

Earthy might be part of the answer if he takes a chance given to him before the window opens now he's back fit.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
We do need another winger.
I dont see the young Brazilian making it and if Summerville is out we have no one else.
Same if Bowen is to get injured.
Elliot would make a good signing as can also play centrally although not sure what is going on with him at Villa. Barely kicked a ball and being left out of squads.
CB and ST at a minimum. Preferably also a WB, Winger, and CM.
Ward Prowse, Rodriguez, Irving and Fullkrug to find new homes.

Don't think he can because of the tax problems.
Sure I read that a player needs to be away for a couple of years to skip the tax bill.
That's why Neves is possible - he's done his two years - and why Henderson went to Ajax for a while.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
I'd guess we'll offload Rodriguez and Ward-Prowse if we were to sign the German kid, but yes, we definitely need a centre forward instead of Fulkrug, and I'd say we need another quick wide player who is ready to play because Guilherme is questionable,
Some talk that Fenerbahce want to make the Alvarez signing permanent , maybe that won't happen til summer.
Reckon they will stick with the centre backs. To be fair, Todibo has been much improved in the last 2/3 games - first time he's ever really looked worth the money. Must be the new haircut.

It's obvious where we need strengthening, yeah?
A centre back and striker.
So lets go out and buy defensive midfielders and wingers. Fucking idiots.

West Ham United are in the picture to sign VfL Bochum’s Cajetan Lenz. That’s according to Sky Deutschland, and they cover approaches made by several clubs, including West Ham.
The 19-year-old was born in Bochum and came through the ranks of their academy. He was promoted to the first team at the start of this season and has played 14 matches so far.
Lenz quickly established himself and became a key player for the second division German club.
His performances have seen him attract attention from others.Sky states this includes every Bundesliga side except Bayern Munich. The defensive midfielder has also caught the attention of clubs outside Germany, with only West Ham mentioned.

I’m amazed that COYI isn’t director of football at a big club, his knowledge of players and managers is second to none.
He would be an asset.

Oh contraire. I could tell from the office such a player was completely unsuited to the Premier League.
Yet another to add to the long list of correct foresight from COYI.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
We are rumoured on Claret & Hugh to have received an offer for Rodriguez from a La Liga club. The issue being his £100k per week wages.
If true, it's unreal the club gave such a bang average player a six figure weekly salary. Cheers 'guri Tim' and 'loser Lop'.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
If Magassa wasn't worthy a go yesterday ahead of Soucek, you have to add the following to the January transfer plan:
Keeper
Central defender
Midfielder
2 strikers
Will never happen though

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Easy to see why a centre forward and a fast wide player are supposedly top of the list.
Fulkrug hasn't worked and is usually injured, Summerville is okay but frequently injured and Guilherme hasn't had an impact.
January transfer to West Ham could see swoop for Arsenal player - CF, Kaio Jorge.
Apparently chasing a new 'keeper too - Christos Mandas of Lazio
West Ham eye January move for Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas - Yahoo Sports

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
With Traore, it's pointless looking at his stats and how good his crossing is. He is a player who pushes the opposition team back because of the obvious threat he has, and would get our better players further up the pitch. He's not a great footballer, but let's be honest, every time he comes on against us, the first thing I think is for fuck sake, not this cսnt.
Not someone you'd want starting every week, but we've got absolutely no back up on either wing at the minute, and injury to Bowen or Summerville will have us playing KWP on the wing, so we need reinforcements, would take the bowling ball on a cheap deal.

Don't see us getting a CB unless we shift one. We've a lot of investment tied up in CBs
