This is an absolutel sickener. An actual legend has passed and Im not embarrassed to say that this has brought tears to my eyes.
The image of him in the middle of the park head up, socks rolled down, no shin pads looking like a warrior is iconic and epitomised the grit we as fans crave from a captain.
I was there at Villa Park singing my heart out for what seemed like an hour "Billy Bond's claret n blue army!" Sing it loud today guys. I will be in floods of tears.

Terrible news
when i was very small my dad sent me over to get his autograph at the standard 5 a sides, he was like this golden giant standing there and i was so overwhelmed i ran away, always my favourite. RIP legend
