Well next up the Bin Dippers. Two ideals go to head to head in this match....The ideal time for us to play Liverpool after an horrific run of defeats and confidence at an all time low....and the ideal club for Liverpool to face to break their rut, with our unmatchable ability to fold in the face of reputation.

So who will prevail? The bookies certainly favour the Mickeys, making us about 4/1 to pull it off, and them odds on. But we're 3 unbeaten and approaching something close to a 'run of form'.

Mavropanos is back available, as is Fullkrug, Guilherme who subbed off for a rolled ankle was seen in training....but Summerville was conspicuous by absence, with Nuno characteristically coy on his Availability.

With Paqueta back from suspension, Wilson in fine form, and a more settled midfield, there is at least hope that a dysfunctional Liverpool side can be bested and we can give that big bald head of Arne Slot an almighty Tango-esque SLAP!

Predicted LineUp:
Areola

AWB Mavropanos Todibo Diouf

Potts Fernandes Paqueta

Bowen. Wilson. Guilherme (Summerville if fit)

Subs: Hermansen, Igor, Kilman, Magassa, Irving, Rodriguez, Earthy, Soucek, Fullkrug
Predicted Score: West Ham 1-3 Liverpool (Wilson) (Salah 2, Ekitike)

Desperately hope I'm wrong, but there's no better team to play when in the doldrums than the Claret and Blue gift.  Maybe Nuno can dispel the evidence of history, and stick one up them, and send them back with nothing but a few hubcaps! COYI!

Freddie Potts fittingly now regularly plays in our Midfield who we can bank on to perform in such a fixture considering our former Midfield general Legend. Just as likeable too.

Wouldn't say plenty of rapid pace but there is certainly a lot of youthful energy in the midfield in Potts, Fernades, Magassa with the rapid speed of Bowen complimenting that with Wilson ratting about up top for a good hour or so and Paqueta floating about. Add in Diouf and Wan-Bissaka as supporting acts, we do have plenty of legs out there I'd say.

Nothing quite like Summervilles natural speed though.

Sadly he's also turned in to another right expensive sicknote we can ill afford to carry goes too long.

Presumably two holding - Magassa and Potts - with Fernandes or Paqueta shifting left.

I know it will never happen but would love to see us have a right go, long balls forward for our extra fast centre forward ( Wilson) to chase. Whatching city v Leeds yesterday even city looked shaky when Leeds knocked it long, I know it’s not pretty but all this low block bollocks will just allow them to play their way into the game and gain confidence whereas at the moment their shit scared of losing again.

TBH if you score first against them at the moment they absolutely fold. Can't see this happening.

Going at them is the way to beat them.   Van Dyke and Konate don't like pacey players running at them.   However I suspect we will either show them too much respect or get some dodgy VAR decision go against us.

They're a shambles and have lost 7 from 8 (I think) however the game they did win was against Real who they completely outplayed after the first 15 minutes so they do have a performance in them.. Hopefully we set up in a way not to encourage it and play their current form and not their name.

Moyes really pissed me off when they came to us below us in the league on a bad run and sat back all defensive and lost without laying a glove on them, that's when I knew he would never be brave enough. Though we're starting from a weaker position than that today under Nuno I want to see us get on their fucking faces and make them uncomfortable and nervy... Not allow them to build confidence. We shall see.

Strange one isn't it. I can only think of Jota (rip) and TAA who went to Madrid. Other than those two,its the same squad that one the league six months ago. Would have made a lot more sense had this current debacle happened at the start of Slots first season.
Bill, Diaz was a big player for them last year too and as bad as he was, Nunez kept defenders busy

Van Dijk is 34, the other centre half has been horrendous, and Salah is not scoring goals. 2 players that good are the difference in most games. The big decision they had was moving on from those 2 at the right time, and they stuck instead of twist, and it looks like a season too far.

And although the cսnt is clearly going to score today, I think Isak could possibly be the most overrated player of all time, at that sort of dough, you need to be putting in peak Ronaldo numbers.
