Newcastle United v Chelsea
Venue: St James' Park
League Positions: 12 v 4
Current Forms: 25 v 29
Stats would favour Chelsea...just. I suspect home advantage will provide a counter-balance in this game, so:
Prediction: Draw

A. F. C. Bournemouth v Burnley
Venue: Dean Court
League Positions: 13 v 19
Current Forms: 10 v 0
In spite of Bournemouth being well off the top of their game, I think they will still have more than enough to see off hapless (and luckless) Burnley:
Prediction: Home Win
Saturday, 20 December 2025 15:00
Brighton & Hove Albion v Sunderland
Venue: Falmer Stadium
League Positions: 8 v 5
Current Forms: 13 v 24
This should be Sunderland's game. Should (as in "bold italics" should). Similar to the Newcastle game, I feel that home advantage will play a big part:
Prediction: Draw
Saturday, 20 December 2025 15:00
Manchester City v West Ham United
Venue: The Etihad Stadium
League Positions: 2 v 18
Current Forms: 45 v 8
Not the ideal pre-Christmas game for us, what with City winning their last 5 games, being 2nd in the League and playing at home. Sadly, even if we up our game as far as we can and - heavens forbid! - score a goal, it won't be enough. A mauling (for us) is a possible outcome, but I think, in all honesty, City will have won this game by half time and toy with us for the 2nd half.
Prediction: Home Win
Saturday, 20 December 2025 15:00
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Brentford
Venue: Molineux
League Positions: 20 v 15
Current Forms: 0 v 7
A very indifferent Brentford visit a very despondent Wolves. I think home advantage will...OK...should... help Wanderers, but still don't think it will help enough.
Prediction: Away Win
Saturday, 20 December 2025 17:30
Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
League Positions: 10 v 7
Current Forms: 23 v 35
Probably, from a media point of view, the tie of the weekend. Personally, I'm pretty "Meh" over it. Yet another game where home advantage should tell, but I think it will be telling lies on Saturday. Liverpool are definitely not the driving force they were last season but feel that they will still have enough. And don't forget to factor in added VAR.
Prediction: Away Win
Saturday, 20 December 2025 20:00
Everton v Arsenal
Venue: Goodison Park
League Positions: 11 v 1
Current Forms: 24 v 34
Again, should be Arsenal's game. If they really (REALLY) want the title then this is actually a must win match for them (given who City and Villa are playing this weekend). I believe Everton will put up a fair old fight and also that a fair few cards - not of the Xmas kind - will be brandished.
Prediction: Away Win
Saturday, 20 December 2025 20:00
Leeds United v Crystal Palace
Venue: Elland Road
League Positions: 17 v 9
Current Forms: 18 v 23
Off the back of a European draw Palace could have really done without, they bring to Elland Road a current form not that far removed from their hosts. I'm ready to toss a coin between draw and away win, but who can forget that match between these two a short time ago?
Prediction: Away Win
Sunday, 21 December 2025 16:30
Aston Villa v Manchester United
Venue: Villa Park
League Positions: 3 v 6
Current Forms: 45 v 26
Villa are absolutely storming and, despite being 6th in the table, Man Utd are still a variable light breeze. As the outcome of this game has no immediate impact on us, it's another "Meh" from me. Still, I'd be surprised at anything other than a:
Prediction: Home Win
Monday, 22 December 2025 20:00
Fulham v Nottingham Forest
Venue: Craven Cottage
League Positions: 15 v 17
Current Forms: 15 v 33
Forest seem to have turned it around recently, having been picked by some to be one of the relegation contenders for this season. Fulham seem to be looking to replace Forest in the relegation mix. A draw would be the better outcome for us as both teams would effectively drop 2 points.
Prediction: Draw
