Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Okay. This has descended into a bit of a farce! Originally I was criticising our youth policy over the last decade or so that has produced hardly any 1st team players compared to other PL clubs. My point was it was a catch 22. That if we don’t plan for and give our academy players minutes in 1st te...

Re: Niclas Füllkrug Subbed

Apparently he managed to injure himself in the warm-up before Germany lost 2-0 to Slovakia last night... Jeez, what a clumsy retard We never learn. A transfer window opportunity missed to flog him with a bit of resale value when I said we should have cut our losses. I fear we could be lumbered with...

Re: Paqueta - Latest news

Apparently they just want to fine him around £150k if they can manage it. That's as far as it'll go ans I doubt they'll even get that. What a fucking carry on and of course it's our Club that ultimately suffered. 😴 Well they need to find a way to pay for the witch hunt. Otherwise they could look li...

Re: Nott'm Forest vs West Ham | PL | 31.08.25 | Prediction & Match Thread

After that performance, I hope we've seen the end of a back 3. We don't have the centrebacks to play it, and for the first time in a while, the opponent was not slicing through us at will despite enjoying a bit of the ball. Fernandes slotted right into the team looking as though he'd been there all ...

Completing parts 4 and 7 of the medical but definitely will be announced today in what has been a model of efficiency and not at all an unnecessarily protracted, bloated process.

Messi, and not for dribbling or pace or shot. What struck me the most was his first touch to place the ball exactly where he wanted and simultaneously unbalance a defence. That would cause a scramble that opened a blind pass that he never seemed to miss.

If there's one shred of silver lining to any of this, it's that not just fans but the newspapers have turned on Sullivan. This article was absolutely scathing of our performance and situation but lays the blame mostly at the owner's feet: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/aug/22/chelsea-thra...

This is a useless exercise. It doesn't matter who manages the shit. It will still be shit, and Sullivan has fully demonstrated he's incapable of bringing anything in other than shit.

Re: West Ham vs Chelsea | PL | 22.08.25 | Predictions & Match Thread

The biggest issue is we cannot defend through the middle, and we are overrun in the midfield against  everyone. This has all been painfully obvious for some time. We have also exacerbated the problem by getting rid of midfielders while bringing in none. The only way we are scoring without control of...

Re: Brady on Talksport this morning

It may have been the 'deal of the century' as far as the rental payment is concerned but the arrangement plus the stadium design place severe restrictions on the revenues that drive how much the club can spend on wages and transfers. Although 2nd in the Premier League by attendance, West Ham are 8t...

Needs to get some fucking service, but he's the only one who seems to set anyone up. He can't do that for himself and put the ball on a platter for Diouf against Sunderland.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

As much as we do need a couple of midfielders, I really think it's not the area that's the real problem. Those 3 centre backs are proper relegation fodder. Having a couple of new midfielders will not suddenly give Aguerd & Todibo the ability to head the ball, or give Kilman a yard of pace, or i...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Given our most glaring need (and there are plenty of them) was the lack of pace in our midfield, why do we keep selling our half-decent mids at a loss and keep our shitter, slower ones. We've now shipped 3 midfielders and brought in zero. We've actively weakened the area that most needs reinforcemen...

Always could be a funny-old-game result, but everything points to a massacre. We were outpaced, outcoached, and outworked against Sunderland. Chelsea are multiples more dangerous than Sunderland, and they are coming off a home nil-nil draw. We can't count on overconfidence or overlooking us. Maybe t...

The meat of that video starts at minute 17, and christ does it make for depressing listening for west ham fans. Nothing we do not already know though.

TLDR: (spoiler) Sullivan and the board are the problem because they are amateurs.

I thought Hermanson done okay. He made a great save in the first half to keep it level and his distribution is much better than we've had for some time which should only get better as he integrates with the team. The first goal looked bad in real time, but the only reason that shot had anything on i...

Boy, it's going to be a long season.  Positives: For 30 minutes in the first half we played well and had the balance of play. Took a spectacular block from Ballard to keep it level. Hermanson is an upgrade on areola which is a pretty low bar to clear.  First goal was a bit of a fluke, but having wav...
