September internationals
I'm struggling to comprehend what Marcus Rashford has done to merit starting for England.

We've gone from this being a Golden Generation, to having better subs that the actual Golden Generation. Blimey.
Look at some of the shit this mob have lost to in tournaments, Croatia 2018 for a start. Italy in that final were a poor team there for the taking. The old lot were getting knocked out by the likes of Brazil with Ronadinho in his pomp.
If you think this current crop match the original mob, with a chunk of the players you named not even being able to get a start at their clubs, then fair enough.
Eze has made me proper LOL to be fair.
But this crop is not the crop of 2018 is it? I mentioned 4 tournaments. 2020,2022,2024,2026.
I agree they should have won something as they are a incredibly talented group.
Lets not pretend International football is any less now, it was Brazil back then. Its the likes of Spain and France (who knocked us out) nowadays. The original mob for however amazing they were couldn't get past the QF and couldn't take pens. This lot have 2 finals under their belts and arguably have a stronger pool to choose from for the WC next year which includes Eze (why you don't rate him i don't know).
If we didn't have Southgate for the two finals then there probably wouldn't be any debate.

A 27 year old who has spent his career so far at Crystal Palace, being named as part of a GOLDEN GENERATION of England players, and after that, a load of subs.
You're a plank, Rossal.
Yep just take one point, run away with something sensational to try and score a point. Nice one. I don't have you down as one of the thicko's on here but I will explain it in more detail for you so you can finally understand.
Eze is a terrific player, and with him not even making the 11 most likely shows how strong the squad is for the upcoming tournament, One of the strongest in the world infact. After a few near misses this for me is their final chance to fulfil their potential and get over the line. If they don't then the FA have failed to capitalise on the talent available for the last 4 tournaments.
The golden generation you mention of 04/06 had Darius Vassell, Jermaine Jenas and a 16 year old uncapped winger on the bench btw.

Re: September internationals
For me the Top class players (although some not currently in form) England have are:
Pickford**
Bellingham
Palmer
Foden
Saka
Rice
Kane*
*Although I do think old Father Time has just about caught up with him, he was one of the best regular goalscorers about in modern times
**I think his contribution has been underrated to our National sides cause. International level I think he's more than held his own
I think there might be more additions of quality youth players that could well enhance that lot further still. Max Dowman could be 1 to watch at Arsenal if he takes his chance.
England have a nucleus of real quality that could and probably should have produced a Trophy or 2 by now having twice come so close. Still a chance we could within the next 10 years if managed by the right Coach. Tuchel though aint that man. Someone like Howe could be.
Sooner we ditch the clueless Kraut the better though..

The others, putting aside Palmer who could be brilliant but has barely played for England, golden generation? Blimey.
Ferdinand, Terry, A.Cole, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Owen, Rooney. Proper players, serial winners at club level, produced consistently at the very top level, couldn't reproduce for England due to club rivalries.
You've just named me a right back that can't defend, a centre back that plays about 5 games a season for his club, a lazy cսnt who his manager said he would rather play the fitness coach instead of, and someone who has spent his career at CRYSTAL FUCKING PALACE
Do me a favour, Rossal.
"For the past few years we are lucky enough to have plenty of world class options all over the pitch, especially in attack when all firing"
When at their best they are world class players. Trent has just signed for Real Madrid after winning it all here. Stones won it all. Rashford was world class leading up to Euro 2020. Eze has just signed for Arsenal ffs, and was massive in winning Palace their only ever trophies.
So yeah, the crop the last few years have won as much and are as good as the 04/06 lot.......they should have won something already.........and if they don't the next few years will be a spectacular failure.

Harry Kane is a flat track bully, he's 32 and has only just won his first career trophy, a domestic league, and he has absolutely stank the place out in EVERY big game he's ever played in. We could've had a cardboard cut-out up top in every knock-out game from QF's onwards that he's played for England. World class players perform when it really matters, name me 1 game he's done that in?
Other than him, who makes up this supposed golden generation?
Jude, Saka, Rice, Trent, Stones, Foden, Rashford, Palmer, Eze
Then got players like Bowen, MGW, Rodgers, Gordon
But if you don't think Kane is a world class striker then what's the point

The flat track bully up front would've done well to be 5th choice striker in the late 90's/early 00's
For the past few years we are lucky enough to have plenty of world class options all over the pitch, especially in attack when all firing.
To not win anything would be as bad as the Beckham, Rooney and Rio class of 04/06 if not worse.Ok, name this plethora of world class players we've had all over the pitch.
If you dare say 1 trophy Harry, I'll gouge your eyes out with a rusty spoon.
Just look at the talent available mate you don't need me to list them all. Of course Harry Kane is a world class striker lets not be silly now.

And tried to be a smartarse with the penalty takers
May even have won in 2022 if Kane didn’t bottle his pen v France
Spain were the better team in 2024 but picking the lazy cսnt Saka instead of Bowen meant poor Kyle Walker had to try and deal with the Spanish full back AND the match winner Williams with no assistance whatsoever
Was at 2021 and 2024.

I see Spain went to Turkey & were 6-0 up in an hour
Andorra has a population of about 90,000 I think
Its the equivalent of playing an international against Haywards Heath

Didn't bother watching the second I saw Rashford was playing, not one thing he has done, justified a place in the squad, much less the starting line up, thought Tuchel may be different, but he's not.

Maybe England have been told to play shit as a part of the deterrent to stop boats crossing the English Channel.
With the current government/state, you just know that they'll try anything but the one simple solution - flood the English Channel..
